June 4th, 2003 ~Shockwave(D), Solar(D), Skydagger(D) Darkmount - Command Center Before you lies the heart and soul of the Decepticon empire. You find yourself standing on a wide walkway spanning a three-quarter circle overlooking the 100 foot deep command center. The central stairs are just to your right and descend through three levels of sensor monitor stations. The entire height and length of the wall in front of you is covered with massive sensor viewers relaying information from the Tower Outpost Communication Center to Darkmount so that Decepticon leaders may survey their holdings without moving very far from the tools of power at their disposal. In the first work level below you are various computer terminals available for the officers to review logs of troop reports while the lower two levels are strictly dedicated to sensor monitoring and are constantly manned. In the pit of the room, various holomaps display the information interpolated from the sensor inputs that the currently assigned duty officer is constantly updating. Solar [Robot] [D] Shockwave [Robot] [D] Long Table with a Model Obvious Exits: -N- North leads to Darkmount - Command Level -Moonlight meanders into the Command Center, not one of her favorite places, but she'll live...she hopes. -Shockwave says, "The Autobots think something of value is on here, correct? I find it highly amusing that Scattershot so easily fell for the ruse, especially with Enfilade's lack of any acting ability." -Solar says, "I ain't very happy with how last cycle's attack went. The value or lack thereof of the datapads should not have been discussed in the open. Cerrius has held valuable supplies in the past but we removed most of it." -Shockwave grins as he says, "Solar, Solar...I apologize but I had to keep the rest of you in the dark while that idiot Scattershot was still attacking us. Even if there is just junk, I wanted him to think it was incredibly valuable. This will cause to things to happen. One, the Autobots will concentrate on trying to obtain the contents of the cache, so that the other Decepticons can continue mining the crystals out of the Hellpits, serving as a distraction. And two, it will be the bait for an ambush as the Autobots will concentrate so much on the cache that those few Autobots who do attack the Hellpits will be outnumbered and thus destroyed." -Moonlight stands aside from the doorway, but doesn't approach the two mechs. They could be talking about something important and hush hush. She didn't sneak in or make any attempt to be subtle in her approach. If they don't realize she's entered, that's their own faults. So she just stands there and waits for them to kick her out if they need to. -Solar says, "I can understand that reasoning, but the mining in the Hellpits is a slow process. Most of the area is still very unstable, and I think the perimeter needs to enlarged." Solar sees the shaddow on the ground from the door. "Ahoy Moonlight c'mon in." -Shockwave hrmmms thinking as he sees Moonlight knowing her smuggling capabilities as he says, "I may have an assignment for you, Moonlight. If you would be willing to serve as a decoy for holding the useless items in the cache.." -Moonlight nods and walks up to the two mechs. She bows slightly to Shockwave and says, "Welcome back Commander," with a wide grin. Somehow she's never completely daunted by the rather serious mech. She arches an optic ridge at Shockwave's words. "Sure. That's what I'm here for after all." She turns to Solar. "Hey there Boss." -Solar says, "So ya wanna use Moonlight as bait huh?" -Shockwave hmmmms, thinking to himself as he brings up some plans of a small bomb that can be hidden within the contents of the cache, "I believe this would also be your specialty, Solar. Perhaps we can construct an explosive device onto the cache so that once the Autobots manage to capture it, it will explode on contact and thus eliminate them.." -Solar says, "Proximity detonator, or dead mans switch....simple" -Shockwave nods, "Exactly. Of course, I need to finish researching and going through the datapads to make sure that any information that may be of some use is extracted and then the rest shall be in the decoy tha the Autobots may want to capture." -Moonlight shudders slightly. "Couldn't I have some sort of trigger on me? That way I know when they've taken off with the 'goods' and that way I won't have to be brought back in a bucket." -Shockwave looks over to Moonlight, "I am not going to sacrifice you, Moonlight. I would like you to abandon the remains, but of course in a manner which lends itself to be believable to the Autobots. Of course you will have backup with you." -Skydagger walks in quietly. She glances around, saying nothing, merely nodding in greeting. -Moonlight nods briefly to Skydagger as she enters, but her optics are on Shockwave at the moment. "Who do you have in mind as backup? Anyone too strong wouldn't believably be defeated. Anyone too weak would be suspicious." -Solar shrugs and stretches out in the seat. "Combination of both then. Moonlight will wear a trigger switch to arm at a safe distance, and then proximty sensors take care of the rest." -Shockwave hmmmms, thinking for a moment of which combination of Decepticons would be easily be a group to become a decoy, "I will look for those willing to become part of this decoy team. Naturally, I want our strongest to reinforce the Hellpits.." -Solar says, "Hey Shocks, any of those pads even carry a Decepticon Seal on em? Encryption of any kind?" -Shockwave shakes his head, "None that I have seen yet. Of course, I currently do not posess all the data pads here. I believe Enfilade has some.." -Skydagger remains silent, content to just listen for now. -Moonlight nods. "Makes sense to me." She finds a nice, clear wall to lean against. -Solar is not the least bit surprised at that announcement. -Shockwave says, "I also want our computer specialists to report to me. I want them to construct a program onto the "junk" datapads that once downloaded into the Autobots' computer system will cause a monitoring program that will be able to be carefully hidden so that we may know of their movements.." -Solar says, "Then you want to talk to Ghost, she's set up most of our encryption protocals. She's frankly the best in either faction." -Shockwave hrmmms, "I have to speak with Ghost anyway. I shall tell her of her next assignment then. I want it so that even Scour cannot detect it in their systems until it is too late.." -Solar says, "Scour don't know half of what Ghost does." -Computer stuff. Fine. Skydagger just stands in silence. -Shockwave looks over to Solar, not really remembering all of their capabilities as he says, "I will have to see about that.." -Solar says, "Ghost has the ability to jack her entire form into the DM mainframe. She actually becomes the computer. Scour no matter how hard he tries can never make the connection complete." -Moonlight doesn't really have much to say now, she's been told what she's expected to do. And somehow idle conversation with Shockwave never works. Oh well. "Just keep me updating and everything should be fine." -Shockwave nods towards Moonlight, "I will inform you of when this mission shall take place and who shall be accompanying you as soon as possible.." -Solar says, "I have a sample of her work if you want to check it. She wrote the entire OS for the intell mainframe. Including its security protocols" -Moonlight grins. "I have no doubt on that score." Then she falls into silence for the moment, having nothing to say about computers...they've never been her strong point. -Skydagger raises a single optic ridge at Moonlight, then resumes her previous uninterested expression as she turns her head to look once again at Shockwave and Solar. -Shockwave nods towards Solar, "I shall look at that later. I shall be retiring to my quarters as I have had a long day and must recharge some of my energon as I will be here again, finishing the research on the cache." as he heads towards the Officer's Quarters.. -Moonlight watches the Commander leave with a shrug. She's rather indifferent to the purple mech. In a way she pities him; he never seems to have any fun. Of course, she'd never share that thought with anyone. -Solar says, "Fun guy ain't he?" -Skydagger looks once again, then at Solar. This time the raised ridge is for Solar. Such an irrelevancy. "Solar. Do you need anything from me? Or can I get back to analysing those remains?" Such coldness in her voice. -Moonlight shakes her head ever so slightly. Another chilling prescence. Great. The Decepticons are /such/ a jovial bunch. "Found anything yet?" she inquires. -Skydagger glances at Moonlight en passant, saying, "A number of things," but not expanding on it. She turns her attention back to Solar. -Solar says, "Nah, have fun Skydagger, get used to the Med bay and set yourself up for a duty shift. I want that report on Timedigger fast." -Skydagger nods. Wordlessly she waits for another moment, perhaps Solar has something else to say, before she turns on her heels to return to the medbay. -Moonlight just keeps to her wall and watches. Skydagger seems impatient, and Moonlight isn't the type to keep people from whatever keeps them going...unless that something happens to be kicking her aft. -Solar says, "Dismissed Skydagger, I'll stop by medbay later."He then turns to look at ML "You basically volunteered for hazard duty, so unlike you Moonlight" -Skydagger nods again and leaves. -Moonlight shrugs in Solar's direction. "Well, I figure I've got to be good for something every now and then." She grins. -Solar says, "Listen I gotta go fer a meetin. Don't forget Ghost wants ta see ya. If ya need me you can reach me on my personal frequecncies" -Moonlight nods. "Sure Solar. Though I'm sure I'll be fine a few moments without ya." -Solar stands and heads to the door "Trouble follows you", and then he walks out
