May 16th, 2003 ~Solar(D), The Wild Surge - Bar Dimly lit and noisy, Dead End's only bar is never lacking in patrons. While the energon isn't of the best quality, many of the chemical additives are unique to the place, and so highly prized by those who can afford them, even outside of the city. For those less affluent, the wall behind the bar still offers old, contaminated energon and various forms of crude-grade fuel as well as the more acceptable low and high grade energon, plus some interesting compounds that are better left to the imagination. Solar [Robot] [D] Obvious Exits: -O- Out leads to Dead End - North Strip -Solar comes in through the holographic wall and takes a seat at his normal back booth -Moonlight had been curled up on the bar, but when she sees Solar come in, she hops off the bar and slowly meanders over to Solar's booth. "Mornin'" she greets in a soft voice. -Solar nods "Just the mech I've been lookin for. Moonlight go lock up the bar cause what I gotta say is classified. Course you may not want to hear it cause you let it spill and I'll spank you HARD" -Moonlight grins. "Spanking eh? Well, that's better than being locked up at any rate," she comments. Then she turns away again and starts shooing people out. Considering the early hour of the cycle, there's a surprising ammount of people here, but nowhere near the normal ammount. Then again, it /is/ the Dead End, so most people don't have much better to do than sit around in here. Smoothly she gives some sort of believable lie why they all have to leave and sends them all on their way with a smile. -Solar waits untill the last mech had been shooed out before pushing the big blue button that locks down the bar. "Ok Moonlight we have a major project in the works, and by we I mean the entire Empire. Some mechs within the Empire are not gonna like what we've got goin, and we can't let the Bots or Unafills know about our involvement before hand. You follow so far? This thing is so classified that if it gets out and I find it comes from you a briggin is the least of your worries" -Moonlight sits down across from Solar. "I'm too egocentrical to let plans slips Solar. I'd /much/ rather talk about myself than any plan the Empire has. That's just the way it works." She frowns ever so slightly. "Of course, after the 'lecture' I got from Whiplash, I'm going to be that much harder to pull things from. I don't know if she'd let me walk away the second time." She shakes her head as though to clear something from it. Then she leans back comfy like in her seat and makes a languid gesture with her hand. "So, what's this plan?" -Solar says, "In a nutshell we're going to buy CC away from the bots and give it back to the Unafills. I use the term buy very loosely." -A grin spreads over Moonlight's face rather rapidly. "Care to expand on that? It definately sounds interesting to /these/ audials." -Solar says, "A lot of the CC Unafills fled the City to both Monocus and here right? We're gonna set up a figurehead for the Unafills to rally behind in an attempt to force the Autobots to return the city to the Unafilliated. We're hoping that Phalanx will go along with the plan and support our candidate. In the end I think we're giving the Bots a no win situation. If they refuse to return the city to the Unafilliates they'll start to look like an opressive faction. If they try to put their own candidate out there because they think we've got something else in the works it won't matter cause the city will still be returned to the Fencesitters. Frankly right now, the Empire is better of materialisticly and militarily with the Unafills in charge of CC" -Moonlight grins and nods her head eagerly. "Oh, I agree. That way the Bots only lose if they try to take it over from the Unaffils again, right?" She chuckles. "Who is your figurehead?" -Solar says, "We thought of using Enfilade's brother Starlift, but I am thinking of letting Phalanx choose his own." -Moonlight nods. "Fair enough." She taps her chest. "What is it you'd like me to do? Or are you just telling me this so I can congratulate your geninusness?" -Solar says, "I need you to hit the mainframes, both the intell one and the Darkmount one. I want to see how many Unafills are living on Monocus, and to make it easier I just want a figure and not the names. Course if you come accross one that you think would make a good candidate let me know." -Moonlight shoots Solar a candid look. "Do you really think /I/ know anyone that would make a good leader? Remember me, the smuggler? I'm space scum and I hung around with other space scum." -Solar says, "Some of them have profiles in the mainframes, just use a bit of Judgement. Go do I think the mech or femme would make a good candidate? And then if you say yes Don't include em" -Moonlight chuckles. "So, we use the reverse of Moonlight judgement to pick. Great. So I'm a bad fighter, only decent at item aquisition compared to my boss, and I posses bad judgement. Do I really serve any purpose here?" She doesn't sound upset or anything, she's merely commenting. -Solar says, "If I didn't think you were neccessary to the team I wouldn't have you on it" -Moonlight grins. "So, what does the Empire do with useless but loyal types anyhow?" -Solar says, "I use them to the best of their ability, the combat groups blow em up" Solar says, "I'm also gonna need you as a pilot, I think you have shuttle training. I may need to fly to Monocus and back a couple of times" -Moonlight arches an optic ridge. "Great. I'll have to be careful then." She shrugs. "Yeah, I can pilot just fine. I'm pretty good actually, even had my own ship for a while near the end. It wasn't much and I sold it once I got here so I had some credits to my name. I didn't come to Cybertron with much you know." -Solar says, "Its not what you came here with, but what you do with it while your here" -Moonlight nods. "I think I've done okay for myself. Just to get this all clear now, do you need me for anything else? I'm figuring that while it will take some time to go through and make those lists, it won't take all my time, and neither will shuttling yuo around." She sounds genuinely interested in helping. -Solar says, "You still have that guard duty Moonlight. And you still deserve some off time" -Moonlight shrugs. "That's true enough. Well, you /do/ know where to find me after all. Radios are such helpful little things, aren't they?" -Solar says, "As long as you don't put any classified material over them they have their uses." -Moonlight nods and leans forward, resting her elbows on the table and, in turn, her chin in her hands. "Have you contacted that Phalanx guy about this yet? Or is this just the beginning stages of this plan?" -Solar says, "Enfilade has a better rapport with him than I do. She's setting things up" -"Do you think he'll go along with it? I don't know him very well at all. I've only actually seen him twice," Moonlight asks, not moving from her position. -Solar says, "I am gonna tell him nothin but the truth, and its in his best interest" -Moonlight grins slightly. "Ahhh, but is that believable coming from you? You are, after all, a big name in the intel division. That sort of rank doesn't exactly incur people's trust. I'm surprised people talk to me as much as they do." She gives a quick little wink. -Solar says, "I have asked Enfilade and Ghost to attend the meeting with me. I also have a gift to give him. And I will remind him that I have treated him fairly in all my deelings with him. I believe I protected him in a strange attack by 2 cons and a Unafillated relative of mine" -Moonlight has the decency to blush slightly at this. "Um, do you think he still remembers that?" -Solar shrugs "Its not every day a mech is protected from Decepticons by other Decepticons" -Moonlight holds her hands palm up in a sort of shrug. "I was kinda new at the time, didn't really know it was such a bad thing. It was 'Lashes idea anyhow." She doesn't seem /too/ bothered by the incident. "I suppose I should keep a low profile as far as this is concerned. Phalanx might not like the fact I'm involved at all. Then again, I don't know him, as I've already pointed out, so maybe he wouldn't care." -Solar says, "No reason to make excuses" -Moonlight shakes her head. "Not exactly making excuses. I just like people to know /why/ I did something. That's all. But it's in the past, nothing to worry about unless you think it made a difference either way. I can keep out of his sight if you think it best." -Solar says, "I don't know where the meeting will take place, and in any case you're not invited to it. The more mechs we have there the more attention." -Moonlight grins. "I just meant in general Solar. Should I run for the hills if I see him? Or just act casual?" -Solar says, "Act like it never happened" -Moonlight winks. "Gotcha. And if he mentions it?" -Solar says, "Apologize, and mean it" -Moonlight keeps grinning. "Do /you/ think I mean it?" -Solar says, "It doesn't matter if you mean it to me." -Moonlight stands up. "Again, I meant in general, to everyone." She stretches. "Well, I'd better hop to it. Sounds like I've got quite a bit of work ahead of me." -Solar says, "Yeah you can open the doors back up." -Moonlight head for the door, but turns back to comment, "I'm sure that will make a lot of mechs happy. Good cycle Solar."
