February 17th, 2003 ~Nosecone(A), Thunderstrike(A), Ultra Magnus(A), Phantom(A) Iacon - Repair Bay This brightly-lit chamber serves as Iacon's primary medical facility. Long workbenches and deep storage cabinets provide the medics with all the space and equipment they require. There are at least a dozen repair tables here, each with its own scanning devices and tool racks. A few patients can usually be found in the room, casualties of the constant warfare. Off to one side lie several recharging chambers, those of the medics who prefer being closeby if they are ever needed. The Transformer equivalent of the Hippocratic Oath is engraved into the north wall. The entire room is rather well-kept, a testimony to efficient work and orderliness. (OOC:This room has views set. Type 'view' for a list of them) Nosecone [Robot] [A] AutoMedic Security Droid v. 2.1 Razorflash Prototypes Obvious Exits: -S- South leads to Iacon - Rejuvination Spa -W- West leads to Iacon - Main Road -N- North leads to Iacon - Research Lab -Nosecone ambles back into medbay. He's been on guard all cycle, which the huge pile of wrappers and empty cans surrounding his chair is evidence of. -Moonlight had been pretty still since she was brought here, the only changes in her were wrought by outside forces such as the medics and the team of intel that took her weapons and 'fixed' her radio and subspace capabilities. But suddenly the femme tries to bolt upright and screams, "WHIPLASH!"...the last thing she saw before losing consciousness. -Nosecone jumps, reflexively pulling his rifle from subspace. "Whoa!" he says, "Moonlight! Calm down!" -Thunderstrike is startled back into consciousness. "What the frag? Can you quiet down? Primus...." -Moonlight blinks her optics. Ummmm, that sounded like Nosecone. She looks around...gee, this place doesn't look familiar. And that /is/ Nosecone. And the Autobot from the fight before. This /can't/ be good. Moonlight starts to tremble a bit. -Nosecone sighs, and lowers his rifle. "Easy there. Uh. I'm afraid you were captured" he says, slowly approaching as to not startle her further, breifly flicking a glance at the still-restrained Thunderstrike. -Thunderstrike looks to her. "Could be worse, You could end up imprisoned by your own faction." -Moonlight forces herself to calm down a little bit and turns slightly, well as much as she can, towards Nosecone. "It would appear that way." She then cranes her head around to peer at the other voice, belonging to a mech she doesn't recognize. "Huh?" she says rather unintelligently. -Nosecone sighs, and sits back down on the chair surrounded by rubbish. "What a mess" he says, though it's not sure if he means the mess he's made or the situation in general. -Thunderstrike looks to the femme. " 'lo there, Im Thunderstrike. I'd say pleased to meet you, but under current circumstances, I'd much rather be elsewhere ." -Moonlight can't move her head well enough to see Nosecone's mess, and chooses not to comment. She keeps her optics on Thunderstrike. "My name is Moonlight, but you've probably heard that already." She hasn't said much about her situation yet, perhaps she's afraid to ask. But she does seem a bit calmer than she was when she first woke up. -"How ya holdin up?" Nosecone asks Moonlight. -Thunderstrike responds. "Like crap." He's a talkative little fellow. "Oh...her. Ah!" -Moonlight makes an awkward motion that looks like it was supposed to be a shrug. "Not so bad." -"All things considered, huh?" Nosecone seems uncomfortable. -Thunderstrike would twiddle his thumbs if he could. "So Do I need to file an appeal with the CoC or what?" -Nosecone shrugs at Thunderstrike's comment. "Well, I think your radio is still active.. so you could aways try that." -Moonlight faces Nosecone again. "Well, I am still rather sore from everything that happened, and in the opposing faction's repair facilities, so yeah, all things considered, I'm not /too/ bad off." -Nosecone nods. "It could be worse" he replies. "Ya could be dead." -Thunderstrike looks to Nosecone and then Moonlight. "Or you couldve woke up and looked like that tentacly snake thing." -Moonlight nods silently to Nosecone and ignores Thunderstrike's comment about Whiplash. -Nosecone gives Thunderstrike a 'not the best idea' look. -Thunderstrike frowns. "I Dont get it, though. Everybody is so um....moody." -"Tense, I think the word is" Nosecone replies. "They don't know when ta kick back and relax." -Moonlight isn't her usual self right now, which is understandable. She's very quite and rather calm. She doesn't really show any outward signs that indicate fear, but to those who know her, her silence is a message. Of course, there is not a lot one can do while restrained on a med bed in the middle of enemy territory. -Thunderstrike is rather unhappy about his current predicament...lying on a table, tied down, and pouty. -Ultra Magnus steps through the western doors gingerly, and stops only a few meters within. He places his hands on his hips and sizes up the present, frowning slightly. "Hmph." His optics settle on the young-looking mech that must be Thunderstrike, but he says nothing yet. -Moonlight doesn't say anything at the arrival of Ultra Magnus, but she has a sinking feeling that things have just gone from bad to worse. -Nosecone nods in greeting to Magnus, not about to jump up and salute the big guy, even if he does respect him. -Thunderstrike looks up at the big fella. "Hello. I'd salute but...umm...I cant." -Ultra Magnus grunts again. "Thunderstrike, I imagine." He glances back over at Moonlight, then moves farther into the room and looks down at Nosecone. Not on, exactly. He's just taller. "Status?" -"Phantom thought he'd be clever an take a captive" Nosecone replies, "Though I'm sure you'd heard that already. She's awake, partially repaird, an probably quite scared. This guy.." Nosecone glances at Thunderstrike, "Just doesn't know when ta quit." -Quite scared. Yes, that would be a good way to describe Moonlight right now. She's just lying there, quietly listening. -Thunderstrike begins to defend himself. "I was ju...." and then he stops, thinking better of it. -Ultra Magnus nods to Nosecone. He looks back to the two prisoners, and decides that he should deal with the unknown first. "Well." He steps over to Thunderstrike's bed and folds his arms. "How are you doing, son?" -Thunderstrike replies cautiously. "othen being tied down here....I'm fine sir." -Ultra Magnus nods, and looks over Thunderstrike again. "I hear you struck Phantom... here, no less..." His optics become cynical. -Thunderstrike nods. "well, sir, you also hear he shot at me first?" -Ultra Magnus looks down, rubs the bridge of his nose, and sighs. "I also hear your refusal to retreat upon order is what resulted in this." He points a hand back at Moonlight. He doesn't seem happy. -Nosecone has his own opinions on that, but doesn't speak up, the only sign being a slight frown in his faceplate. -Thunderstrike shakes his head. "I was in direct conflict with the one known as 'Whiplash'. I had it under control when Phantom rode in like he was the greatest thing since cold enerbeer." -Moonlight listens with a little bit of detached interest. She had always wondered if Bots had these problems too. It appears that they do. She takes some /small/ comfort in that. -Ultra Magnus sighs, more painfully this time than last. "Phantom is a commanding officer. You are a fresh recruit. And Whiplash is a mean dancing partner. If Phantom told you to pull out, you should have pulled out. Common practice." He's not letting up. -"Sir.." Nosecone speaks up.. -Thunderstrike frowns....noone seems to believe or care what he's saying. -Moonlight hmmmmms silently to herself. So, the tied down fella is a new guy. They always get things tough. Must be a universal truth. They always think they know so much, and they don't. It's kinda sad in a way. -Ultra Magnus turns slowly to Nosecone. He looks contemptuous, but he's just frustrated with the events of this little interrogation. "Yes, Nosecone." -"Well," Nosecone begins, "Thunderstrike pretty much deserved what he got.. disobeyin the order to retreat, provokin an then attackin an officer.. I ain't arguin with that. But I don't think he should be blamed for Phantom 'havin' ta take a hostage. It's true Phantom did cause a scene so we could drag this guy's stupid aft back ta Iacon, but we'd already limped back ta base by the time he arrived with Moonlight." -Thunderstrike gives a silent nod in appreciation to Nosecone, and notes that the consensus is he's stupid. -Moonlight doesn't think that Thunderstrike is stupid, just young. Like Turmoil is young...of course, Turmoil /did/ get into an awful lot of trouble. -Nosecone believes that there's only three kinds of soliders, the smart, the strong, and the dead. Thunderstrike isn't that tough, and he doesn't know when to retreat.. that crosses him out of the first two catagories. Nosecone's just trying to make sure he doesn't end up in the last one. -Ultra Magnus nods to Nosecone. "I hadn't realised. In that case..." He looks over Thunderstrike one more time. His optics become less aggressive. "You made a fool move, but it was your first job. We all make mistakes. However, don't think you can ignore the situation. Mistakes have consequences. You've earned a lot of critics for this, and it will take a lot of hard work to change their opinions." He looks back down to Nosecone and nods toward the bed. "Let him go." -Nosecone nods, standing up to undo Thunderstrike's restraints. -Moonlight supresses a gulp...she's probably next. -Thunderstrike speaks in a hushed tone. "Thank ya very much sir, I'll try to make things right." -Ultra Magnus nods briefly to Thunderstrike, but turns quickly away, showing that he has no more to say to him. "So." He steps toward Moonlight and checks her status monitor. -Moonlight looks pretty badly beat up. She was restored enough to be conscious, but that's probably about it. As to be expected, her weapons have been removed, radio deactivated, and subspace abilities supressed. Plus, she's restrained and very quite, making her just a rather sad and pathetic looking individual with a guady hat. -Thunderstrike stands up and stretches. He has thoughts of slinking out the door. -Nosecone remains standing, rifle held loosely in his hands. -Ultra Magnus nods to the chart, and looks over Moonlight. He humphs, and looks back to Nosecone. "Contact me when she's in a talking mood. I want to get this straightened out as soon as possible..." -Talking mood? Uh.. right, yeah. "Will do" he replies, for want of anything better to say. "Oh.. an is Thunderstrike still confined ta medbay?" -Thunderstrike awaits the answer with curious optics. -Ultra Magnus waves a hand to Nosecone. "He's free to go." He gives Nosecone a look, as though to say, 'Keep an optic on him.' -Moonlight is amused at the irony of Ultra Magnus' statement despite her predicament. -Nosecone nods, though he probably won't be following Thunderstrike around. But if he strays into the Rec room, Nosecone will watch him like a HAWK! A very lazy HAWK! -Thunderstrike looks to Ultra Magnus. "I thank you for you leinancy, Sir. Ill seek out Phantom and resolve our quareell before it becomes more of an issue." -Phantom walks in from the Main Road, weapon maglocked to his side still and an enercig hanging from his left hand. -Nosecone suddenly has the horrible suspicion that intel has the repair bay bugged. Because Phantom sure turned up fast.. -Moonlight smiles inwardly at Phantom's excellent timing. Moonlight's ability to survive is closely tied in with her ability to always find something humorous in a situation...not exactly the most high-tech defense, but it is one none the less. -Thunderstrike salutes Phantom as he walks in. "Evenin sir." -Phantom glares at Thunderstrike behind his visor as he takes a final drag off his enercig, dropping the last bit as his faceplate snaps into position automatically. Good timing too, cause it also hides the sneer that crosses his lips. He doesn't respond but walks up to Moonlight's table and looks down at her. When he speaks, his voice is somewhat appologetic. "You doin' okay? Better than yesterday?" -Moonlight nods, because that's all she can do about now, being restrained and all. "Yeah. Doesn't hurt as much and I'm still alive, which is always a bonus." She tries to speak lightly, and mostly succeeds. But there is a trace of fear in her tone. -Nosecone just stands around holding his rifle. Technically, he's on guard, but mostly he's wondering why Phantom bothered to capture Moonlight. -Thunderstrike looks at Phantom and tries a direct approach. "I'd like to appologize to you Phantom." -Phantom nods, still looking down at her, "Sorry about the... situation you woke to find yourself in." He pauses a moment, "Hopefully they're treating you well." Deep down, Phantom has an affection for this femme. She helped him out in a time of need, one of few that would. And he's forever grateful. And it truely does bother him that he did what he had to do. Enfilade would understand, though he can't say that here, with all of these mechs around. "Someone came looking for you. Kimakaze I think she said her name was. She's concerned. I'm sending her your medical records so that she knows we're not parting you out or something." He stops and looks over at Thunderstrike, "No need. It was a tense moment." He gives a Jedi wave of his hand, "Nothing to appologize for." -Moonlight gives Phantom a slight nod. "Well, everyone does what they have to in this war, right? No need to apologize really, though I certainly appreciate the sentiment." She pauses. "You certainly have a talent for making people hate you Phantom." Her expression is rather neutral and there's no real way of telling her motive in saying something like that. But she definately isn't taunting or sneering. -Nosecone is suddenly tired, having been on guard in the medbay since the end of the assualt. Returning his rifle to subspace, he glances at Phantom and Moonlight, and nods to Thunderstrike as he quietly ambles out the door. -Thunderstrike watches intently...and quietly. -Phantom turns back to Moonlight, visor going dimmer than normal, "I do tend to have that ability, wether I want it or not." He takes in a breath, "I wanted to thank you for ... for helping. Not that this is the way to do it. But you were unconscious. And I figured the least we could do is fix you up before we send you on your way." -Moonlight hmmmmms...that sounds promising. If she were any other Decepticon, she would most likely be certain it was a trick of sorts, but for some reason, Moonlight doesn't think that way. Or, if it /is/ a trick, it won't be a lethal one. "Ummmmm...thanks," she says, uncertain of what else to say. "And as for the other thing, it was no trouble." -Thunderstrike looks at the two of the them. "So you do plan on letting her go? good." -Phantom nods, waiting for a moment before Thunderstrike breakes his thought. Turning, he looks the younger mech over a few times, "Eventually, yes. She did nothing to warrent being captured. She was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Plus," he glances back at Moonlight then back to Thunderstrike, "I owe her a favor. Hopefully this will put us back to even." -Moonlight wasn't going to keep score, but she can understand how believing them to be even is almost necessary. It /is/ a war after all. She's also beginning to think there isn't a good side and a bad side, just two /different/ sides full of people who are angry, confused, bitter, scared, or many combinations of the four and beyond. Idly, she wonders what /does/ warrent a capturing. -Pissing off Phantom warrents a capture. Putting his troops directly in danger warrents a capture if not a death. Laying there a being a pawn in a game of trying to extract his troops warrents nothing more than getting away. -Thunderstrike watches intently, and very confused. This mech/femme thing is as confusing as the Con/bot thing. -Moonlight relaxes a little more. After all, there's not much else to do at the moment. -Phantom gives a quick nod to Thunderstrike, then heads out of the Med Bay on his way for the Command Center and Silhouette. -Thunderstrike looks to Moonlight. "sorry bout the accomidations, but comfort isnt a priority round here." -Moonlight turns to face Thunderstrike. "Well, at least if I'm uncomfortable, I know I'm alive..." she says with a slight grin. -Thunderstrike smirks. "thats one way to look at it, albeight a masochistic one." -Moonlight shakes her head. "You misunderstand. I don't think pain's good at all. But if it came down to a choice between being uncomfortable and being dead, I'll take the uncomfortable every time." -Thunderstrike ahs. "Makes sense. Your not scared being behind enemy lines?" -Moonlight makes a face. "Of course I am. It would be stupid if I wasn't. I just don't see much sense in panicking. It won't change anything and it will just make me look silly. I'm not being brave, I'm just being sensible." -Thunderstrike nods. "I gotcha. Surprised your pals haven't sprung you yet. Especially that tentaclely one with the slicing stabbing and electricuting." -Ah, yes, everyone always notices Whiplash. She's awfully hard to miss. But Moonlight knows that as much as Whiplash would like to charge off and rescue any Con that fell into Bot hands, she will sit and wait for orders if that is what she is told to do. But Whiplash was also injured in that fight and wouldn't try to go to Iacon in less than full if she could help it...or so Moonlight hopes. "Phantom said that someone already came to check up on me." -Thunderstrike ohhs. "I mustve been stuck here." -Moonlight shrugs. "Repair bay isn't so bad. At least you're in the proper one." -Thunderstrike nods. " I like to fly, Moonlight. I hate sitting around rusting." -Moonlight shifts slightly in an attempt to get as much comfort as she can. In the process her hat slides down over her optics. She acts like it doesn't affect her at all. "Most people do. It seems to be a very common thing." -Thunderstrike walks over and fixes the femmes hat. "You want a ener cig?" -Moonlight shakes her head. "No, I don't smoke." -Thunderstrike puts the cigs away. "You need anything?" -Moonlight chuckles slightly. "Getting out of here would be good. But I know you can't do that, so let's just say that I have everything this place can give me for now." -Thunderstrike nods. "I tried." -"And that's what counts, right?" asks Moonlight. -Thunderstrike nods. "I guess so." -Moonlight falls silent, this /isn't/ a happy situation after all. But it's not really a moody silence, just sort of a contemplative one. -Thunderstrike looks to her. "Whatcha thinkin about?" -Moonlight sighs. "Just some conversations I've had in the past." -Thunderstrike nods. "Gotcha, I wont pry." -Moonlight gives another chuckles. "I guess I am being a bit close-mouthed. But if you think about it, being restrained in an enemy facility is hardly conversation inspiring." She pauses for a moment. "Of course, when the roles are reversed, that isn't always the case." -Thunderstrike is now confused. Act like youve heard it all before boy. Say Something witty. "So I've been told." He gives a nod with faked se lf assured nod. Smooooth. -Moonlight blinks. "Who told you?" Maybe he's talked to Steelwind and heard about how talkative Moonlight can be as a prison guard. -Thunderstrike tries to back out of that now. "No...no! I meant I general. (gulp) Guards can get condescending." -Moonlight grins. "Let me point out to you that you're backpeddling to someone who is restrained right now and can't do a thing against you." -Thunderstrike umms. "I was just um....I wasnt backpeddling...I....yeah.So, I was saying. What was I saying?" -Moonlight can't help teasing this guy a little, even though she's really in no position to. "You were saying that you are a young and inexperienced mech babbling on to a prisoner about nothing." Her teasing is obviously light in nature, not the derisive kind that so many other people like to employ. -Thunderstrike scratches his head. "i was? Wait...I wasnt. Was I? No...I wasnt." -Moonlight pities the people who have to train this guy to not be so...obvious. "Well, maybe you weren't, but that's the message I got." -Thunderstrike frowns. "I....I. nevermind." -Moonlight smiles. "Don't worry about it. As your fellow Bots pointed out, you're a new guy. New guys make mistakes. That's a fact. Just don't fail to learn from them." -Thunderstrike shakes his head. "Im just not used to being around so many people." -Moonlight sighs and closes her optics, obviously quite weary now. "Well...get used to it," she mumbles before nodding off. ================================= Decepticon ================================= Message: 10/11 Posted Author By a Tarn Defender Mon Feb 17 Whiplash ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ (OOC: this post is *not* by Whiplash ... a purple seeker-type shows up on screen to make the report, starting out with a smart salute) "Skyshatter here. I don't know if one of the defenders on the ground had a chance to make a report, but from what we saw up here from the defense guns, a small group of Autobots showed up and started shooting, which is when we called in reinforcements from Darkmount and Hellpits. I recognized Nosecone, Lancer, and some 'Bot I've never seen before (OOC: Thunderstrike). It seemed like a nonsensical attack - they were pretty much outnumbered and encircled, and it seemed like they were finally trying to pull back and having some trouble - when Phantom showed up and got hold of Moonlight, who was in bad shape from what we could see. He was able to use her as a shield and bluff his way past Ghost and Whiplash, using some holographic trickery at the same time. Unfortunately he was able to make off with Moonlight. Hard to fire the defense guns on someone who's got one of your own locked to his vehicle mode. I just felt this needs to be more widely known. Moonlight is in the hands of the enemy. I leave it to the High Command as to what we should do from here, and stand ready to go into battle." ==============================================================================
