June 18th, 2002 ~Enfliade(D) CC General Hospital - Intensive Care Unit Made entirely of stainless steel and painted a flat, nonreflective white, the walls, floor, and ceiling of this circular, controlled-environment facility are obviously even more spotless than outside. It is divided into three triangular-shaped open compartments, each with its own medtable, lighting, and equipment. The back of each compartment has shelving for vital components and fluids, and the side walls feature precision equipment and tools. The medtables themselves are fully articulated and adjustable to move a patient to almost any conceivable position without jarring him or her. Destrius Enfilade [Robot] [D] Obvious Exits: -S- South leads to CC General Hospital - Lobby -Enfilade is lying in the bunk, listening to a popular radio program, just relaxing. -Moonlight swaggers into the room, whistling a bar tune quietly. -Enfilade looks up when Moonlight walks in. -Moonlight waves to Enfilade. "How ya holding up?" -Enfilade grins. Her mask is down, her visor raised. "Not bad. I should be released as soon as the nurse gets around to it. But...do I really wanna go back an' do paperwork? I'll let the nurse take her time." She grins. -Moonlight flashes a grin back, her optics glittering from under her hat. "Take this time off, I doubt you'll get another rest like it any time soon." She drops the grin for a moment. "Is everyone still talking about revenge and all sorts of other grizzly things?" -Enfilade shrugs. "I wouldn't call it revenge...I call it tactical advantage. We know that Autobot Outpost is still being used and we're pretty much obliged to go flatten it. Silhouette is now on my list of People I Don't Like Very Much, but I've got better things to do with my life than obsess about hunting her down." -Moonlight shrugs and takes a seat somewhere in the room and pulls it up to a distance comfortable for conversation. "It just seems to me that a lot of people around here get that gleam in their eye that is way too personal for mere tactical advantage. I saw them, heard them, when you were first brought here." -Enfilade chuckles a little. "They missed me, eh?" -Moonlight nods her head. "Whiplash was livid. She's the only one I really associate with enough to tell. But she was pretty riled up." -Enfilade grumbles something. "Yeah. I heard. Lemme guess. She wants to kill every bot slowly an' painfully fer captuerin' me." -Moonlight chuckles softly. "Something like that. She's an idealist in some ways, but a violent one. But I suppose being in a war does that to people." -Enfilade lets out a sigh. "I worry about her, with that temper. She's gonna get herself in real trouble someday...an' I don't just mean with Autobots. I was afraid she'd tear right into me when she found out I was from Crystal City." -Moonlight shrugs again. "But she is one of the hardest people to pursuade that I know. She gets upset whenever anyone indicates she can't hold her own. But nobody is invincable. I tried to tell her that, but I feel she didn't really get the message." -Enfilade shakes her head. "I gotta try to corner her an' have a talk with her. But I'll remember that an' butter up her fightin' skills, make sure I don't get her defensive cause then she'll never listen." -Moonlight gives a half-smile. "It's certainly a skill to deal with her, but she's very loyal, which I admire. I'm not such a loyal person, I must admit...though it is growing on me a little." -Enfilade raises an optic ridge. "I thought you were part of that crazy mission to get me out." -Moonlight nods her head. "Yeah. I'm a big believer in freedom, and being held up by the Autobots isn't exactly my idea of freedom. But I'm not too picky about freedom of belief just so long as people don't make me stay in a little, dark room all the time. I'll go along with almost anything just so long as I get to move about fairly freely." -Enfilade grins. "You sound almost like a CC citizen. So what made you wear the Con logos?" -Moonlight sighs. "I should just write a book about it." She grins. "Lots of people ask me why I joined the 'Cons. Am I that strange?" -Enfilade smirks. "Can't be worse'n me. Nah, I'm just curious. You ain't the typical gung-ho let's-go-slag-everything-in-sight." -Moonlight shakes her head. "I'm not too fond of violence. I figure if I deal it, I'll be dealt it. I'm a smuggler, and you don't give something without getting something in return. That goes for punishments as well as rewards and goods." She leans back and gets comfy. "For most of my life I worked as a smuggler on Monacus. My mentor and our 'leader' Swipe was good, but he got cocky. Soon a rival group of smugglers decided he needed to be taken out of the picture. They cornered us in a bar and started this big fight. Swipe told me to run and find my way here. Cybertron, because of the war, was the only place we weren't well known, so he figured I'd at least be annonymous here if not completely safe. His only contact here was a 'Con named Blacksite. When I found her and asked her for help, she told me should could only do so if I joined sides with her. So I did." -Enfilade nods a little. "Lemme guess. Rough neighbourhood, lots of folks pickin' fights, lotsa overenergizing, an' cops giving you a hard time even if you weren't doin' nothing?" -Moonlight blinks. "On Monacus? Or here?" She grins. -Enfilade replies, "Monacus." -Moonlight thinks for a moment. "In the beginning it was that way. But we became prestigious in that dark, slummy kind of way. People didn't bother us too much then. We had money, we had contacts, and that meant we had power of sorts. It started rough, espeically when I was all alone before Swipe found me." -Enfilade nods a little. "Yeah, well, what I was tellin' you was like CC was fer me. Only my brother was fer the most part an honest citizen so he never got that kinda slummy power that the more corrupt companies had." -You say, "You were origonally from Crystal City?" -Enfilade raises an optic ridge. "Frag, I thought everyone knew that by now. Yeah. You shoulda seen Lash when she found out too." -Moonlight waves a hand dismissively. "Do you think I care? I'm not too picky about where someone is from, or what they do, as long as they don't mess with me. I don't like being messed with, especially since I usually can't lift a finger to do anything about it." -Enfilade says, "Awww... I'm flattered you found me worth the effort to bust me out." -Moonlight shrugs. "I don't really know you that well, but I do know Whiplash, and she was going to bust you out whether she had official support or not. So, I decided to help." Moonlight chuckles. "Besides, having medics on your good side is always a bonus." -Enfilade gets a big slow grin. "Maybe havin' a friend ain't always the best thing logically, but I can't knock the feelin'." Is that an allusion to Shockwave there? -Moonlight just shakes her head. "Logic isn't something I'm big on. Smuggling is not a logical job. I run on instinct and luck. Friends are always good. People who give you information without having to tie their guns in knots." -Enfilade says, slowly, "Any extreme is a danger...some people get emotional an' do dumb stuff, an' some people are so cold they can't figure out how half the world thinks...an' can't guess what they'll do next." -Moonlight nods with agreement. "Being in the middle is good. I think I'm in the middle, but my perspective is a little off by most people's standards."
