September 30th, 2001 ~NightFire (D), Aviator (D), Darkmount - Repair Bay Much like the adjacent research lab, the equipment here is showing signs of age, but is kept in a serviceable condition. Two automated repair drones lie against the far wall, though each is obviously missing a few parts...apparently they've been salvaged for someone else's benefit. The once well-stocked parts closets now contain mostly empty shelves and bins. Several dozen repair tables of various sizes are arranged in rows in the middle of the room. Nightfire [Robot] [D] Dartboard Medbay ceiling piece Medical Terminal Alien Communications Vehicle Vivisector's Stovetop Triage's Kicking Box -Moonlight is standing just inside the door, looking over the room. -Nightfire walks right up behind Moonlight, she's blocking his way into the door... smiling to himself for a second he lightly taps on her shoulder, "Hello there." -Moonlight steps to the side, realizing she's blocking the door, and turns around to see who is there. "Hello to you too," she says with a grin. -Nightfire smiles down at Moonlight, "Any particular reason your standing in the doorway?" -Moonlight smirks slightly. "I heard there was a try-out for doors and figured I'd give it a shot." -Nightfire laughs, "Wrong floor dear..." Grinning down on her he leans against the wall in a relaxed position, "So, you have a name?" -Moonlight nods. "Yes, I do happen to have one of those." She sweeps her hat off her head and makes a flourishing bow. "M'name's Moonlight; smuggler extraordinaire." -Nightfire smirks, "Moonlight... nice name. Nice to meet you." -Moonlight plunks her hat back on her head and makes sure it is straight. "And I'm assuming, since you asked me for my name, that you have one as well." -Nightfire smiles as he looks over Moonlight, thinking it's a pretty nice design, he nods to her and answers, "Nightfire. XO of Combat Ops, but you probably don't care about that." -Moonlight flashes a grin. "Ah, so you're one of the higher up types then. Very well. You prefer to be called sir, or is your name good enough?" -Nightfire says, "Oh no, I don't need anyone /else/ calling me sir, I get that enough. Just call me Nightfire, or Night, or whatever /you/ wanna call me." -Moonlight nods. "Noted. So, you're not much for the pomp and circumstance of fancy titles?" -Nightfire shakes his head, "If you ask me, having ranks and titles is just a waste of time." -You say, "I would disagree. Some people just don't know what to do if someone isn't hovering over them telling them what to do." -Nightfire shrugs, "I agree that some people need guiding, but there's really no need to make up fancy names for the ranks." -Moonlight nods. "Oh, I see your point...and it's a good point. I guess they just need to embellish themselves for whatever reason. But I don't really care. I'm not a leader type, so I'm just as happy to stay inconspicuously at the bottom of the barrel." -Nightfire shrugs, "You don't /look/ like you belong at the bottom of the barrel." -Moonlight smiles at the compliment. "Well, typically smugglers don't make very good leaders. I'm rather cowardly and selfish you know...but I won't apologize for that because it serves my purpose very well." -Nightfire smirks, "Well, that doesn't matter, selfishness can be a good thing to have, especially when it depends on your survival." -Aviator wakes up from a little rest on the medtable. -Nightfire grins down at Moonlight, "So why was it you came down here again?" -Aviator blinks at the ceiling for a second, remembering where he is. He sits up on the table. -Moonlight turns to where Aviator was. "Just to cheer up an over-eager mech..." -Aviator turns his head to Moonlight. "I heard that..." -Moonlight grins. "Why wouldn't you have heard that? I made no attempt to hide my words." -Nightfire raises an optic edge, "Aviator I take it?" Upon hearing Aviator's voice he too looks over to the mech, "And how're you feeling Aviator?" -Aviator shakes his head. "I'm perfectly back to normal, but Electra wants me here until the end of the cycle..." -You say, "That's probably wise...jumping back into action too soon can make a mech a liability." -Nightfire nods, "That's good, you know your lucky Freefall did as little damage as he did... he's a dangerous mech." -Aviator says, "I surprised myself. I thought he would be a lot more harmful... He just got lucky with that chain gun of his." -Nightfire turns back to Moonlight, "So what exactly do you smuggle?" He asks smiling. -You say, "Anything I'm asked to...anything I can." -Nightfire says, "So... you could get some White energon for us?" Turning back to Aviator for a second, he looks at him, though still talking to Moonlight, "I think he could use a drink." -Aviator remembers what happened last time he had some of the illegal stuff and chuckles. "I could use some to pass the time." -Moonlight wriggles her fingers at Nightfire. "I could probably work out something." -Nightfire grins, "Ok, well what do you want in return? You smugglers always want something in return." -Moonlight thinks for a moment. "Well, what's the most important currency to Decepticon members?" -Nightfire shrugs, "You tell me." -You say, "I haven't been here long enough to tell. I'm working in a limited circuit you know." -Nightfire hmms and looks over Moonlight for a second, then pulls out a small chip from sub-space, "Here ya go, 500 credits." -Moonlight takes the chip. "How long before you expect results?" -Aviator sees this and pulls out his own chip. "Over here, Moonlight. Here's my 500." -Nightfire shrugs and looks into Moonlight's green optics, "Take as long as you want." -Moonlight nods her head. "I'll be off then. Expect it in the next little while."
