March 4th, 2001 ~Solar(D) -You transmit 'H'lo?' to Solar. -Solar transmits: 'May I help you?'. -You transmit 'I was told to give you a message.' to Solar. -Solar transmits: 'Then give it as long as you don't blow your cover'. -You transmit 'Want that in person...?' to Solar. -Solar transmits: 'If I meet you in person will anyone suspect anything? And if not where do you want to meet?'. -You paged Solar with 'Doesn't matter to me, and who would you rather meet? The amiable waitress, or the not-so-amiable smuggler?'. -Solar transmits: '*chuckles* Either would be aprorpriate. How about the Wild Surge in Dead End?'. -You transmit 'Certainly.' to Solar. The Wild Surge - Bar Dimly lit and noisy, Dead End's only bar is never lacking in patrons. While the energon isn't of the best quality, many of the chemical additives are unique to the place, and so highly prized by those who can afford them, even outside of the city. For those less affluent, the wall behind the bar still offers old, contaminated energon and various forms of crude-grade fuel as well as the more acceptable low and high grade energon, plus some interesting compounds that are better left to the imagination. Obvious Exits: -O- Out leads to Dead End - North Strip -Moonlight walks casualy into the bar with a bit of a swagger. -Solar is in the back booth perusing some interesting reports and looking more than slightly agitated. -Moonlight notes the look of agitation on Solar's face as she approaches. She tilts her head and winks at him with a rather broad grin. -Solar looks up and grins slightly motioning the other mech to a seat "I believe there was something you wanted to discuss?" -Moonlight slides easily into a seat and looks across at Solar. "I talked recently to Skyburner...said he wanted me to pass on a message to ya. He wants you and that fellow Sliver to guard him." -Solar says, "Your a little late with that information my dear. Skyburner has been shot and is in medical right now" -Moonlight only smiles. "He was /in/ medical when he gave me the message...and he wasn't looks so great when I saw him either." -Solar grimaces as he hears that news "Smeg I can't. Darkmount's on lock down and I really shouldn't go back. Besides that I'm under orders to find out who tried to take down Shox" -Moonlight shrugs indifferently. "Your problem. I'm only the messenger." And she winks again. -Solar says, "Was anyone else around when the information was given to you" -Moonlight shakes her head. "Not really." -Solar says, "I believe that Whiplash has been set the task of guarding Sky. I don't think anyone will be able to get past her" -Moonlight shrugs. "Don't know what he seemed so worried about then." -Solar shrugs "Are you ever going to take me up on my job offering? -Moonlight hmmms rather deliberately, putting a finger up to her mouth in a pose of thinking. "Sounds good to me." -Solar says, "Good. I suppose I have to wait till your current assignement at the Golden Blaster is finished before I can request your transfer however" -Moonlight nods. "That only sounds reasonable, doesn't it? I don't know how long that will be of course. This Empire doesn't always make sense to me, but I guess it doesn't have to, does it?...just so long as I'm a good femme and do as I'm told." And she smiles. -Solar smiles "Your charm is lost on me Moonlight" -You say, "I was trying to be charming...I didn't know that." -Solar says, "If I was any less preoccupied it would be more in your favor. As it is I have too much work to do" -Moonlight frowns slightly. "I'm not much use to currying favor with anyone...but it seems I might have to learn to change that to survive, am I right?" -Solar says, "No your charm is a useful tactic amd one that is to your credit. However many superiors prefer the straight forward approach" -Moonlight waves a hand dismissively. "I see...I suppose working for a bunch of freelance smugglers is different from working for such a complex and organized group as the Empire. I'll have to consider this." -Solar says, "I believe you will like my friend Swindle. He is much like you. Most dangerous in the open." -Moonlight grins openly and sincerely. "His name certainly makes him sound like the people I'm used to associating with. I'll look forward to meeting him then." -Solar says, "I'm sure you will he's an interesting mech" -Moonlight just nods and falls silent for the moment. -Solar takes the time to order a couple of bottles of energon. -You say, "So, what's got you so preoccupied?" -Solar says, "Tryin to find out who tried to blow up Shockwave and Skyburner" -You say, "I woudln't know anything about Shockwave's incident, but I was there when Shockwave gave Skyburner the blast." -Solar says, "Do you know why?" -You say, "Just seems he was fed up with everyone there as far as I can tell." -Solar says, "He went too far then huh?" -You say, "I think everyone there did. He was taking shots at that Kimakaze femme as well. But it seems Skyburner got the worst of the encounter." -Solar receives a radio message. -Solar sighs and shakes his head "Just stupid mistakes then" -Moonlight shrugs elaborately. "It would seem so. Shockwave seemed angry at the dissention between Skyburner and Kimakaze and with Razelore's apparent ineffectualness. I don't know how effective he is or isn't, I'm just saying what I saw." -Solar says, "Ghost is taking care of that" -Moonlight shrugs again. "It's not really my business as far as I'm concerned, but I wasn't told to keep my mouth shut either and it seemed to be on your mind." -Solar says, "Right now everything is on my mind" -You say, "You sound like a busy mech." -Solar says, "Normally I prefer blowing things up instead of structure. But I go where I'm needed." -You say, "Each to their own. I never saw much use in blowing things up...it's counter productive." -Solar says, "It all depends on what you blow up" -You say, "Everything has a use...except a pile of rubble of course. You can't sell, steal, or trade rubble." -Solar says, "Yes you can. If its filled with Jewels and precious metals. How do you think I make all my credits?" -Moonlight considers this. "Perhaps. But total destruction doesn't even give that much."
