The Carrington Mansion Krystle and Blake welcomed their guests into their home. Most of them were close friends and family, business associates that worked with Steven in Colbyco and old friends that worked with him and with Sammy Jo through the years. Blake smiled when he saw Danny coming downstairs. The boy was well dressed with a new tuxedo, and looked very handsome. Blake approached him and pat on his shoulder. “The place looks great, Grandpa. Krystle did wonderful job!” the boy exclaimed. “Krystle and your mother. You don't know how happy I am to see your parents together again.”
“I know how much the family means for you, Grandpa. I feel the same.” “I hoped you'd say something like that. You know, Krystina and William joined Denver-Carrington yesterday. They are now officially working there,” Blake said. “Really? I didn't know,” Danny replied.
“Yes. Now all my grown children are working in Denver-Carrington. You are the only one who's missing,” Blake smiled. Danny immeditely guessed what his grandfather was going to ask him. “Grandpa, I still haven't decided what I'll do after college. I'm still study, you know.” “What about your vacation? You can work then. I'm sure we'll find a good job for you. Maybe it will even help you and LB solve your differences,” Blake added. “No, I'm sorry Grandpa, but nothing will solve our differences. LB did something I can't forget, I can't just start working with him and put it all behind. I'm sorry, I don't think it will be a good idea,” Danny explained, ”maybe someday, but not now” he added. Blake was disappointed. He wanted so much to see all his grandchildren working with him one day. Steven was already working for Alexis, and the old man wanted Danny to promise he would work for him. He guessed it wouldn't be easy. Danny knew he disappointed him. “Don't be angry at me, Grandpa. I'm just not ready for that kind of step. Besides, I'm sure Krystina and William will do wonderful job. Now, I’m going to see what’s keeping Mom,” he said as he noticed his young aunt walking into the mansion together with Kevin Laird. Blake looked at them as well. He didn't know his daughter would come together with Denver-Carrington's lawyer. “Hey, don't be shy, you know almost everybody here,” Krystina told Kevin as they walked in.
“Well it's kind of different from a quiet dinner, you know” Kevin replied.
Krystina smiled. It wasn't easy to convince him coming there, but it was worth it. The question was, how would her family will react to her new “date”? The Carrington Mansion - One of the Guest Rooms Sammy Jo held up the blue silk blouse she bought while on her honeymoon. “What about this, Auntie Krystle?” she asked. Krystle smiled. “It’s beautiful, Sammy Jo, but so was the last one, and the one before that!” “I’m sorry; it’s just that I’m so nervous. I feel like I’m on my first date!” Sammy Jo explained. “I just want everything to be perfect!” “Everything will be fine, Sammy Jo. Now stop worrying and get dressed.”
Sammy Jo threw the blue blouse aside, and settled upon her black dress. One can never go wrong with simplicity. Danny and Krystle sat on the edge of the bed. Sammy Jo re-entered the room after changing and looked stunning. “Wow! Mom, you’re beautiful!” Danny admired. “Thank you, sweetie,” Sammy Jo said. Sammy Jo walked over to Danny. “You’re so tall, just like your father.” She placed her hand to his face. It was very emotional for them both. It was their dream comes true. They had wanted to be together with Steven for so long. Danny tried to hide the tears that formed in his eyes. Danny stooped and embraced his mother. “It’s here, isn’t it Mom? We’re a family again – a real family.” There was a knock at the door interrupting their embrace. Krystle crossed the room to see who it was. “Good evening, Mrs. Carrington,” Gerard said. “A special delivery courier from ColbyCo brought this letter for Ms. Reece, er, I mean Mrs. Carrington.” Krystle thanked the loyal servant and handed the envelope to Sammy Jo. “It’s from Steven!” She said as she tore into the note. “Oh, my God! No!”
