"Confrontation and Reconciliation" The Memorial Hospital, special ops waiting room
Sable and Jason stared as the doctor entered the waiting room; they held their breath as he pulled off his face mask. “Doctor, what is it?” Jason asked. “I have some good news; Miles has made it through the surgery.” The room erupted with cheers as everyone was relieved. “Thank god!” Sable said as she hugged Jason.
“Listen, he has a long way to go. He’s made it this far, but the healing process will take time. He’s in a coma, but it’s nothing to worry about. It’s common after a surgery as long as this” Monica stepped forward. “Is there’s something you are not telling us?” The doctor smiled and shook his head. “No, Miss Colby, Miles is doing fine, like I said he has weeks of recovery, but the first battle is won.” He turned. “I must go now and see to his accommodations.” Jason placed his hand on Monica’s shoulder. “Monica, he’s going to be all right, I have both my children back.” Monica turned to face her father. “I wouldn’t be so sure of that.” She spat as she walked out of the room. “She’s never going to forgive me.” Jason said out loud. Sable and Frankie stood behind him, Frankie made a move to comfort him, but Sable beat her to it. “It’s just going to take time, Jason. She has been through so much these past few years, but she will come around.” Sable placed her arms around Jason and he didn’t fight the embrace. “She has too.” Jason said to Sable while Francesca stood watching with distain.
“Oh Amanda, I’m so happy for you.” Fallon said for the tenth time since they heard the news. She was standing with Jeff and her sister when the doctor told them that Miles was all right. Jeff smiled and placed his arm on Amanda’s shoulder. “Now that my brother is getting better, I guess you too will finish your plans for the wedding?” “I think we should take things one step at a time.” Amanda spoke, watching a nurse walk into the room. “Oh no.” She said as the nurse walked directly towards them. “Mr. Jeff Colby?” The nurse turned to Jeff who nodded. “I’m afraid I have some rather bad news. Your daughter was just brought into emergency; she’s been in an accident.” Emergency Room Unit Stormily, Krystina walked into the emergency admission and turned to the nurse that was sitting behind her desk. “Excuse me? My husband was brought here with my niece, Kyle Roberts and Lauren Colby. They were involved in a car accident.” She said upset and worried. The nurse looked at her apathetical and checked the hospital records. “They are both in the trauma unit. You’ll have to wait for a doctor to come out. You can sit in the waiting room until he comes out.” The nurse answered and turned around. “Can’t you give me any indication of their health?” Krystina tried. The nurse looked at her one more time. “As I said, you’ll have to wait for the doctor.” The nursed repeated. Krystina walked into the waiting room as the elevator doors opened and Jeff and Fallon stepped out of it and noticed Krystina. “Krystina …” Fallon called out. Her sister turned around. “What happened?” “I still don’t know. They’re in the trauma unit. I’m waiting for the doctor to come out.” The girl explained. “Is it serious?” Jeff asked.
“I don’t know, Jeff, but I hope not.” Krystina said.
“You better hope so, because we trusted you with Lauren! You were responsible for her! And now she’s in the hospital! God knows, we had enough of it lately.” Jeff exclaimed. He was pretty much upset. Not only that his brother was still in coma, now his daughter was involved in a car accident. “Fallon, Jeff!” Jim called out as he went out of the trauma unit and saw them standing out there. He approached them. “How is my daughter, doctor?” Fallon asked Jim. She knew he was Sammy Jo’s boyfriend and the father of her twins, but they still didn’t know each other so well. “Lauren and Kyle are both alright. They were very lucky and suffer only minor injuries.” Jim announced. “Can we see them?” Krystina asked. “In a few minutes, yes” Jim answered. “But there is something I need to tell you. It concerns Lauren’s condition.” Jim added. “What about her?” Fallon asked, worried. “We are still waiting for the test results, but I believe that when Lauren arrived here she was on drugs” Jim announced. “What?” Jeff and Fallon called in unison, both shocked. “You can’t be serious!” Jeff added. “Are you sure about that?” Fallon asked.
“Positive. I don’t know how much cocaine she took, but it seems a lot.” He said as his beeper went off. “If you’ll excuse me, I have to go.” Jim said and left. Fallon and Jeff looked at each other. They couldn’t believe it. Then they looked at Krystina who was shocked too. She was about to say something as a nurse came down the corridor wheeling Kyle in a wheelchair. “Krystina” He called out as he noticed her. “Kyle! Thank god, you are fine. I was so worried! What happened?” She asked him, but before he could answer, Jeff attacked him. “You bastard, you gave her those drugs, didn’t you? You are the reason she’s here!” Jeff yelled at him. “Let him go, Jeff. It’s not his fault!” Krystina defended Kyle. “Excuse me!” The nurse shouted at them and pushed the wheelchair forward. “It’s not my fault, I swear!” Kyle shouted back as the nurse took him out of there. Fallon turned to Krystina. “We trusted you, Krystina. Now look what you and your husband have done!” She shouted at her sister. And now... Click Here to the Opening Sequence and to the next events! |
