"The Twin's Father" The Memorial Hospital - Waiting room
“Danny!” Ashley noticed Danny standing close by. Danny had just witnessed her kissing LB. “How are you?” She asked, but felt the cold chill he was still giving her.
“I’m fine” Danny said and looked at her, ignoring LB who stared at them both. “Where is my mother?” He asked. “I believe She’s with Jim and Steven. The results are in, and the doctor should be informing them of the paternity results soon. “Really,” He asked as he was about to find his mother and father. “Danny, wait” Ashley called after him. He stopped and turned around, looking at her. “Congratulations” She smiled. “Thank you” He said, turned again and walked out. Ashley remained in her position as LB looked at her, wondering if she still had feelings for Danny.
The Memorial Hospital - Sammy Jo's room “We have an unequivocal result of the DNA test.” Dr. Johnson continued. Steven squeezed Sammy Jo’s hand tighter while Jim looked tense; even he knew the changing of the labels would work to his benefit. “The father is Dr. Jim Martinez.” Dr. Johnson stated. Sammy Jo felt like Steven let go of her hand, as Jim frown turned into a huge grin. “No way, that can’t be right!” Danny screamed, cutting the silence as he walked in.
“Danny!” Sammy Jo called, surprised to see her son.
“Well, if you’ll excuse me, Congratulations, Jim!” Dr. Johnson shook his hand. “Thank you for everything, doctor.” Sammy Jo stated as Dr. Johnson nodded and left. “Danny, come over here!” Sammy Jo called, but Danny remained standing there, frowned, as Jim looked at Sammy Jo, smiling. Steven finally regained his voice. “Congratulations, Jim!” He extended his hand. “Thanks, Steven.” He shook his hand.
Danny stood there dumbfounded. What was his father thinking? “Danny,” Steven turned to his son, but Danny rejected him and stormed out of the room. “I had better go after him,” Steven said and glanced at Sammy Jo one final time. She smiled wearily and watched them leave the room, knowing things between her and Steven had changed once again for the worse. Sammy Jo turned her attention to Jim who was still grinning and smiled. “Congratulation dad,” She said. “Thanks but so far I just held your hand. Now the real work begins.” Jim bent down and kissed her. Sammy Jo willingly returned the kiss, fantasizing about a bright future. And now...
