First, Dynast Grausherra's title is Dynast and name Grausherra. First I always thought it was just Dynast was his first name, but then I saw it translated as "Grausherra the Dynast" on some official places . . . SO. . . .
Unlike all the other mazoku Dark Lords who have a priest and a general (besides Xellas, who created only Xellos) Grausherra divided his power among two generals and two priests. His priests names are Grau and Grou, and his generals are Sherra and someone else who has yet to be named, although many expect it to be Dy (though I think I heard something about a Norst somewhere - maybe Norst=Nast? ^_^ Ah well, I'll look into that). Sherra is the only one who ever gets any real development in the novels. Other mazoku who have served under him in the novels are Surdian, Faliearl, Gbarg, Lebifere, and Mianzo.
He and Sherra come in novels 9 to 13. Basically, a bunch of stuff happens, Lina and Gourry meet up with Luke and Mileena, Grausherra disguises himself as the king of the Diliss kingdom that he's trying to take over. (For a better summary go to QP/Diana's novel summaries ^_^;). Anyway, Lina killed Sherra and injured Dynast enough that he had to retreat for a time back to the Astral Plane.
I've seen and even said myself before that Dynast lives at the North pole (Santa?! Oo;), but where he does reside is a place called the northern Footholds. These are way far north, and where he maintains his part of the barrier. (See Kouma Wars.)
Two spells that call on his power are the Dynast Blast (I think it may have been translated as the Dynast Bras . . . .I don't know . . . . just whenever I hear Dynast bras I think Dynast's Bra ><;;) and Dynast Breath. Both are ice spells, as would make sense due to his location and all. Dynast Bras, whichever it may be, has been used many times throughout the anime series.
Dynast's mazoku form has been described by a lot of places as a big shadowy blob. On Queen Megumi's page she describes it from the novels though, as saying:
"Two horn-like projections are growing for backward from his head. His cheeks and eyebrows are raising as if they protect his eyes. They also change color and become harder? now I [Lina] can see the face of Dynast as it walks near. It is a silver helmet."
Also, she described a picture of Dynast from novel 13 as having red skin with black spots, and eyes that are also possibly red.
When Dynast Grausherra takes the form of a human in the novels he is not in his own human form, but disguised as the King of Diliss. However, then he is described as having long black hair and silver armor. Note again, however, that was not his own human form.
As far as personality goes, I really don't know. I have seen him described, however, as the coldest, most ruthless Dark Lord. I don't know though, none of them seem to be exactly compassionate. ^_^; But for personality, that's all I know I'm afraid.
