Rena is a happy-go-lucky girl who lives in Arlia with her mother. Everyday, she goes to Shingo Forest to think of her past. After she learns that her mother isn't her real one and that she isn't of the planet Expel, she goes on the journey with Claude to find out her true roots.

In the beginning of the game, Rena is a pretty decent fighter that inflicts decent damage. Though later on in the game, her fighting skills pretty much take a back seat to her powerful, all-important healing and assist spells. She also has a few attack spells that are more powerful than they are judged. Until you reach Noel, she'll act as the only healer in the game. There are even some points in the game where her healing powers are an absolute must to survive, which also makes her a character you'll want to keep in your party at all times.
