Method of Obtaining: After obtaining Opera and going through the Mountain Pass, return to Arlia and engage in a PA with Opera, then return to Shingo Forest and explore the crashed ship. Complete the Hoffman Ruins dungeon and just as you leave, there will be a scene involving Opera and a boss fight. Defeat the boss and Ernest will join your party. Note: You must do these prior to going to Hoffman Ruins, otherwise the scene won't happen when you leave.

Ernest is an adventurer of sorts, always on the move, seeking out new challenges and is engulfed in the thrill of adventure. Not only that, he also carries the suave attitude synonymous of a famous secret agent. While he's doing this, his girlfriend Opera constantly chases after him in hopes that they will be together again.

Boy, you think that all the trouble it took to find him, he'd be pretty good, but sad to say, by the time you get him, his abilities are pretty much overshadowed by the more established fighters in your group. Not only that, he can't equip the stronger stuff at all, which makes him prone to dying...a lot. Well anyway, the good thing about him is that his whip has good range and his Killer Moves don't require a lot of MP and time to power up. In short, you may or may not want to waste the time it takes to get him.
