Final Fantasy Playing Strategies
Marching Order
You should place the character who has the best defense as the leader. The leader tends
to be attacked more than the other characters.
Fighting
When facing a monster party with a different variety of monsters, you should attack the monsters who pose the biggest threat first. If you attack the weaker monsters first,
than the strong ones will stay alive longer and pummel your party. When you are fighting, it's best to fight near a town. That way, when the going gets tough, you could march into town and rest up.
Running from Battles
If you find yourself in a losing situation, it's best to run for your lives. In dungeons, though you will find it harder to run away than in the open spaces, so you must know when to run, but you got to fight if you want to grow strong. Note: You can't run away from bosses, so don't try.
Making the Best out of Any Situation
In between fights, you must always keep youp HP at max level, because you'll never know when you get a surprise encounter from a tough enemy.
If you can't defeat a certain enemy, you probably need to raise your experience levels. Gaining a level increases your maximum HP level as well as other stats, so you'll find it easier
to beat enemies.
Before going into any unknown place, it's best to pitch a tent, cabin, or house by the entrance and saving your game. You wouldn't want to complete that same, difficult task over again, so make sure you save your progress before entering a dungeon or other places.
Weapons, Armor, Items and Spells
Weapons, armor, items and spells can be purchased in towns. You can also find weapons, armor and items in treasure chests in dungeons. Spells can't be found, though. Another thing on spells, you can't learn them naturally, so you have to
buy them.
Before throwing away any weapons or armor, check to see if that weapon or armor can be used as an item. For instance, Thor's Hammer strikes a lightning bolt to the enemy party and the Light Axe hurts undead monsters when used as an item. So check and see if they can be used as items before throwing them away.
This is a fact in all RPGs; when going on your quest, be sure to stock up on healing potions and other curative items.
On the Adventure
This is also a fact in all RPGs and Adventure games; Talk to EVERYONE! You never know what dangers lay ahead, so it's best to talk to people to see if they have any tips or secrets. Talk to them repeatedly, because after a certain amount of time, their stories will change.
Combat Tips
If a member of your party is slain, make use of their weapons and armor by equipping them on party members who are still alive. After the slain members are revived, give them back their equipment.
