| Episode 167: The episode started off strong. I liked Tomoe's voice a lot. BTW, that was also Mark Sprague, who did Tomoe in his S fandub (called Professor Chronos in that). I really liked the script a lot. It had been awhile since I had seen the sub, but from what I can tell from memory, it fairly spot on (just to make all you stupid purists out there happy). Uranus' lines were great. My favorite one being: Michelle holds Uranus' wrist and keeps her from falling off the building Michelle: "You have definately been eating too many sweets these days"? Amara: "That's it, you're getting a spanking later" That was kick ass. There were some notable flaws in the episode though. Galaxia's "laugh" makes me cringe everytime I hear it (that is, if I can't hit the fast forward button soon enough). And Neptune's reply to Uranus, ruined that part for me as well: Amara: "Looks like we're out of retirement" Michelle: "You can never retire from destiny" You notice how incredibly stupid that was? I mean that ONE line completely ruined the scene. Pretty good ep overall though 8/10. Episode 168: This is my favorite episode of the three. One thing I thought was gone forever, except for in SMC and R is back now. DiC MUSIC!!!! I loved it. The DiC music is MUCH better than the original Japanese version (except for all the Outer songs and Starlights songs), and captures to mood/emotion of the scenes better than the original. You know when the Inners transform, than they just pose in the original episode? Jedite took that out, and replaced it with the Inner transformation from the SuperS movie (each Inner has a quadrant on the screen). I liked that A LOT better than the original Japanese version. Another change, you know when the Inners are fighting the glass chicks? In the orignal it used some weird song. But in the fandub, it uses one of the Outer songs (To listen to it, it's in the Outer Senshi attack Saturn clip I have, you hear when it shows the World Shaking, Deep Submerge, and Dead Scream going at her, and melding together), that is one badass song. I bet you damn purists are bitching right now, but face it: It can't be changed! It fits the scene great as well. When the Outers show up, their introduction is sweet! Here's how it goes: Sailor Uranus: "We've nailed you before, and we'll do it again. I'm Sailor Uranus, and get ready to feel the smackdown!" Sailor Neptune: "I'd listen to her if I were. I'm Sailro Neptune, and trust me, you haven't gotta prayer." Sailor Pluto: "Time has run out for you and you're seige from darkness. I'm Sailor Pluto." Uranus: "The Outer Scouts are here, and that means one thing. All: "You're Finished!" The Pluto line completely ruined it for me though. Much like Neptune's line from 167. Now, when Saturn says, "It's time for you to awaken as a true princess of the Moon," Um... why? Didn't she already reach her "true form" back at the end of R when she transformed into Neo Queen Serenity to battle Wiseman? When Sailor Moon transforms into Eternal Moon, you hear the song from SMC and R when she does her Tiara/Scepter attack. Great episode! 10/10 Episode 169: This was pretty good overall. Not as good, probably due to the fact that Uranus got less screen time than before. To me, it was rather boring until the fight scene (which Uranus kicked off :)). "Uranus Saber Blast" was cool. The sound effect of the things coming out of the Space Sword (It's really a Saber though), are just badass. I don't know if I have ever heard a sound effect that kick ass before. Uranus' and Neptune's conversation is rather interesting, although doesn't make much sense. "Neptune Marine Reflection" was pretty cool. I liked it when Jupiter did her attack. I have a question about the attack though. How come in the SuperS movie, parts of SuperS, and in this, it only shows three of the green orbs/ball things? I mean, she's shooting out hundreds of them, but that's it. I liked the ending too. 8/10 |

| Sailor Says: Sailor Says makes a comeback in the fandub. That's good, you know why? More DiC influence! :-) Here's a rundown of what they're about: Episode 167: Censorship: "Today we learned that Amara and Michelle aren't really cousins afterall, but are in fact a couple. We even got to see their transformations without airbrushing. And to top it off, the badguys didn't even wear clothes. These are things edited out on TV, and we have learned one valuable lesson: Censorship Sucks! Sailor Moon Says! 10/10 (Hey! It's true!) Episode 168: Children: "Kids sure can be cute, but they can aos be a real handful and scare the crap out of you. For instance today, when Hotaru disapeared, it was a good thing we were cool headed, and headed straight to Hotaru's room, instead of running around the place, opening doors, and shouting "Hotaru! Hotaru" We're Outer Scouts, and we're too smart for that. Sailor Uranus Says! 8/10 (Damn right! Uranus rules!) Episode 169: Is Darien Gay? "Okay, I'm really confused. Darien and I have been a couple for a long time now. So, how come I don't recognize this guy comng to his place? What if I know who his friends are? Unless.... AHH!!!! NO! NO! NO! Sailor Moon Says it isn't true! 1/10 (Doesn't give any advice or anything like that, it's pointless) |
