Jump5 CONCERT
][ at the Southland Christian Church in Lexington ][
My first thoughts and impressions: --->
Ok, so now I'm thrilled that I went, but I had told my mom I wanted to go, but on the day we were going, what held me together, was the fact that I did like the group, I just hadn't listened to their tunes lately, and wasn't that enthusiastic at the time.
The trip: --->
The ride there was ok. Some of us rode in this small 19 passenger school bus type thing, and some of the girls rode in an SUV with the 10 - 12 teacher. I brought all of my CDs, but I decided to not listen to Jump5 on the way there. I sat with my 8-year-old bro named Jesse. He's pretty cool. He likes a lot of the music I like. We listened to Stacie Orrico. I used my ear-plug set since we both wanted to listen to it at the same time. The annoying girls screamed from time to time on the bus, but it was an ok ride.
Arrival: --->
When we got there, we waited 'til the doors opened up at like 6:30, then we got out seats in the middle of the elevated section. We waited patiently, and I goofed around with all the youngins until it started. The church that was hosting the show, had their own Arts team put on a dance to one of J5's songs, "Start Jumpin'". It was pretty good for around 50 kids ages 6 - 10, but was no comparison for what was to come.
That's about it. Out of all my concert experiences, I give this one a 9 out of 10! Check out their site www.jump5.com and check out their new album, coming August 13th entitled "All the Time in the World"!

The Show: --->
The Lineup: Spinnin' Around / All I Can Do / God Bless the U.S.A. / Virtual Reality / Instrumental, dancing and gymastic part (totally awesome!) / Change a Heart, Change the World / Meaning of Life / Tell Me Why / Start Jumpin' This simply was an awesome show! They really can dance very well, and I was impressed. I was jumping form start to finish during Start Jumpin' (just FYI), and my fav part was the instrumental segment at the end of Virtual Reality - simply awesome. They each did their own intro to a song and plugged something or whatever (their new CD, their website, etc.), and they were panting for air while they were talking - you could definetly tell it's "breath taking" doing all that dancing and singing at the same time. AND, although objected by some know it all adults, I am positive they were not lip-syncing. I didn't get to get any 'graphs because we were on a time schedule, and there were lots of little chillens waiting in line. Although, by the time we ended up leaving (due to some misundertandings), we could have got in line and gone through - I'm sure of it!
