| Highland Singers The Highland Singers is a select mixed show/concert choir made up of 34 singers/dancers, 15 instrumentalists, and 14 crew members from Highland High School in Anderson, IN. This group participates in many contests throughout the Midwest, consistently receiving grand champion and caption awards. Last year, they received Overall Grand Champion, Grand Champion Class A, Outstanding Choreography, Outstanding Crew, and the Redskin "Attitude" Award at Wapakoneta. This year, Highland Singers will travel to Edgewood, Ben Davis, Franklin Central, Anderson, Huntington North, and Showstoppers National Competition in Orlando, Florida. They are under the direction of Laura Dyer, Choreographed by Brent Holland, and Assisted by Corby York. |

| Highland Starliters The Highland Starliters is a select women's choir made up of 37 Singers/Dancers, 15 instrumentalists, and 14 crew members from Highland High School in Anderson, IN. They participate in many contests throughout the Midwest, consistently receiving grand champion and caption awards. Last year, they were named Grand Champion in the Unisex Division at Wapakoneta. They were also named first runner up in the Women's Division, Best Choreography, and Best Overall Effect at Huntington North. This year, these talented ladies will be competing at Edgewood, Ben Davis, Franklin Central, Anderson, Huntington North, and Showstoppers National Competition in Orlando, Florida. They are under the direction of Laura Dyer, Choreographed by Brent Holland, and Assisted by Corby York. |

| HIGHLAND MADRIGALS A cappella (Madrigals) is an 18 member auditioned concert choir from Highland High School in Anderson, Indiana. The students in this group are advanced 10-12 graders. They sing a variety of repertoire, including but not limited to twentieth century, foreign language, madrigals, A cappella, spirituals, and the Romantic period. This group performs 3-5 school concerts a year, 3-5 community holiday concerts, and competes at the Indiana State School Music Association Organization Contest. In April 2007, Madrigals combined with Highland Singers and competed in Group 1 and received a Gold Rating With Distinction. They are under the direction of Laura Dyer. |

| Concert Choir Concert Choir (Classic Choral Connection) is one of two non-auditioned choirs offered at Highland High School. The students in this choir are in grades 10-12. Concert Choir performs a variety of repertoire and also studies music theory, music history, ear training, and sight-singing. They perform 2-3 school concerts a year. They are under the direction of Laura Dyer. |

| Freshmen Choir Freshmen Choir is one of two non-auditioned choirs offered at Highland High School. This is a beginning level mixed concert choir made up of only students in the ninth grade. This choir sings a variety of repertoire including but not limited to Classical, Foreign Language, Twentieth Century, Spirituals, Broadway, and Pop. The Freshmen Choir performs 2-3 school concerts a year and also competes in the Indiana State School Music Association Organizational Contest in the Spring. They are under the direction of Laura Dyer and Douglas Fletcher. |
