This site gives a lot of information on the Greek drama, and especially on the types of drama. There were three types of Greek drama they were tragedy, comedy and satyr plays. Tragedies would usually consist of a king, hero, or gods going from the good like to becoming poor and unhappy. In comedies unlike tragedies would have normal people getting into bad circumstances going to good circumstances. Of the two tragedies is often the one more remembered. The tragedy really only consisted of one or possibly two actors two actors with the chores usually singing songs which really help with telling the play. Often the chores and actor or actors would use dialog to sometimes talk with one and other. One of the most important things about tragedies is religious festivals to Dionysus in which is a tragedies were played by the same poet as a trilogy of plays which usually takes up a day, and these festivals would consist of 3 days usually allowing three poets to contend. The tragedies were usually scored by a panel of judges and the poet with the best score would win a prize. Usually when ever Sophocles would enter he was almost a for sure winner.

Not the best website I think it is still in the building
stages but the fact is the text is there giving good information on the Persian
war. The Persian war wouldn’t have even started it the Athenians were not so
power hungry having to have all the land in sight. In 499B.C. the City

Gives really good information on the Peloponnesian war with getting right to the point. Basically the Spartans were getting jealous of the wealth and of the Athenians had, and with them getting over what had been a 30 year peace agreement in 431B.C. The two sides clashed making the Peloponnesian war. The Spartans plan would be to fight on land considering they had numbers and were better worriers, but the smart Athenians planed to use there military in which the Spartans were week in. this allowed the Athenians to sail across the Greece coast and land right on the Athenian Spartan borders. This was practically a brain vs. brawn fight considering how you have the genius Athenians with there boats that they sail to the border which allows there men to have energy and there was the Spartans who wanted to meet on a field and dook it out. Both sides thought that one of the strategies would ware out over time but none did. So they signed a 50 year peace treaty. Unfortunately peace didn’t last for fifty years and in a few years war picked up again. Unfortunately the Spartans were joined with the Persians and attacked the Athenians after they had attacked a city state in a few years it was over for the Athenians with them surrendering in 404B.C.
