Let not a traitor live!” this shows –Epanalepsis because the restating of
synonyms such as “Burn! Fire!” gives a general sense of epanalepsis
- “The evil that men do
lives after them;” this shows Climax
becase the words are in an order to increase of impotance
- "Those
that will hear me speak, let'm stay here. Those that will follow Cassius, go with him;" -
Antithesis-It contrasts to ideas of either staying and listening or
leaving to follow Cassius
\
- "Who
is here so base, that would be a bondman? Who is here so rude, that would
not be a Roman?"- Anaphora- Repetition of the words, "who is
here" defines a strong emotional effect in the speech.
- "Believe
me for mine honor, and have respect to mine honor." -
Epanalepsis-Same as Anaphora but at the end of a clause the words,
"For mine honor" is restated twice.
