Early Life
Michelangelo Buonarroti did not grow up in the most artistic environment. As a matter of fact he was born in the small village of Caprese in March of 1475. With his mom dieing at the age of six he was already interested in art and very intelligent. When he was 13 he decided to be the apprentice of a painter Domenico Ghirlandaio. Also he did a study at a sculpture school, then getting into the household of Lorenzo de Medici. There he met the people that were his age who shaped there era such as popes Leo X and Clement VII. Although at first Michelangelo lived a tough life at first living with a wet nurse where he cut stone, He overcame his obstacles at an early age by doing what he wanted to do, and ends up in the household of Lorenzo de Medici.
