--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Welcome! The 3 PWADs included here each replace one episode's worth
of music in DOOM. You can use all of these at once by typing:

        doom -file epi1mus.wad epi2mus.wad epi3mus.wad

or, to only use one or two of the wad files, just type the above
with only the names you want to use.

These work best with a General MIDI sound module. I use the Roland
(genuflecting) Sound Canvas Model 55 mark II. It should also work well
with any other MIDI device that is supported by doom. $800 Turtle beach cards
are out because while General MIDI, the use the proteus one interface versus
the MPU 401 interface. (reader yells, "GET ON WITH IT!")

Ok, I listened to this on sound blaster mode, and I can say it at least
won't crash your system (It didn't mine) Some songs sound better than others.
Frankly, I was suprised they sounded as good as they did. (again in SB mode)

Here are the song titles:

Episode: Level: Title: (in DOS filename format, minus the .mid)
   1 1 * almonds
1 2 beet27m3 (this is long. How 'bout a OD gtr version?)
1 3 * canyon (yes it came with windows)
   1 4 dancepty
   1 5 furelise
1 6 hoedown (as if you can't tell when you here it!)
1 7 torg (this is homemade, via my roommate not truely done)
1 8 wn_th_st (when the saints, go marchin' in, etc)
   1 9 blackmgc
   2 1 axel-f (it's obvious)
2 2 banjos (DUELING bajos. Starts slow. Sounds LAME on SB)
2 3 godfathr (theme from THE Godfather. LAME on SB)
   2 4 hartland
   2 5 furelise
   2 6 * metblast
   2 7 * passport
2 8 seaquest (the show is *lame*)
2 9 sherwood (forest, evidently. LAME on SB)
3 1 sockhop (pretty good, actually)
   3 2 tough
   3 3 leningrd
   3 4 littlehu
   3 5 jcbach
   3 6 only_you
   3 7 timefous
3 8 entertnr (yeah, so listening to the Entertainer while
killing spider demons is lame. Send me something better!
                        (in .mid format!)
   3 9 brothers

I'm looking for a few good .MIDs. Okay, I'm looking for LOTS of good .MIDs.
Bad to the bone would be nice! The T2 soundtrack in .mid format would be cool.
Anything from Guns n Roses' FIRST album, or ANYTHING from OZZY would be
perfect for DOOM. I could go on, but by now you've most likely thought of
several even better songs. I'd be happy to supply the .mid files to the songs
above. I request anyone with knowledge of .MID FTP sites (besides wuarchive.
wustl.edu) please send me e-mail to that effect.

BTW the files with * next to them are fairly complex, sound pretty good on
GM machines, and could conceivably cause a slowdown. Please let me know if
this happens, so I can refrain from including similar songs in the future.
