8/25/93

I was on America OnLine last night and saw that ID software
has delayed the release date of Doom to Dec. 10, 1993. They
said that they needed to delay the release to ensure a
quality product. Also, they said part of the delay has been
caused by putting the Doom work aside while they worked on
a SNES version of Wolfenstine 3D.

Please don't shoot the messenger.

I also learned that Doom will not be sold by Apogee but
by ID itself (initally as shareware). Apogee will be soon
marketing a game called "Blake Stone" written by Jam
Productions that uses ID's engine from Wolf 3D.

For those with AOL access. The ID:Doom message area can be
located in the PC GAMES message area under Announcments.

Please note that the information contained here may change without notice.
So do not blame the Sysops of Audiophiles Paradise if the game is released
earlier or later than expected.
