Basic sound setup:
===================================

1. Delete the default.cfg file in the DOOM directory if it exists).

2. Go to the sound card directory and run any diagnostic/setup software
that came with the sound card. If everything checks out, make a note
	of the sound card settings.

3. The DOOM setup can automatically configure your system providing you
have the 'BLASTER' environment variable set in the autoexec.bat. To
set up the 'BLASTER' environment variable, take the PORT/IRQ/DMA
settings made a note of in the last step and fill in the 'SET BLASTER'
	stament below:

	SET BLASTER=A<PORT> I<IRQ> D<DMA>

Where	<PORT>	= Three digit I/O port address
			<IRQ> = One digit IRQ
<DMA> = One gigit DMA CHANNEL

The IRQ must be 7 (5 is recommended) or below. DOOM does not support
	any IRQ above 7.

The DMA channel must be 3 or below (1 recommended). DOOM does not
	support any DMA above 3.

After you have added the 'SET BLASTER' statement to the autoexec.bat,
	reboot the machine.

4. Go to the DOOM directory and type setup.

5. Highlight the 'Choose Sound FX Card' option and press enter.

6. Highlight the appropriate sound card and press enter. If your card is
not listed, it MUST be 100% HARDWARE compatible with one of the listed
sound cards or it may not work (This does not include sound devices that
connect through the parallel port or sound cards that provide
compatibility through a software. Such devices will not work at all).

7. Select the port address, irq, and dma settings that match your sound
	card settings.

8. From the main menu, save settings and run DOOM.

*NOTE: If your sound card is not 100% hardware compatible with the Sound Blaster or it is not listed in the setup, we can only suggest getting a
real Sound Blaster or another card listed in the setup.
