This is my first effort at a semi seriuos course design. Eagle Ridge Country
Club would be, in my mind, a very pleasurable course to play. It isn't very
hard, in fact, I will use this course to boost my confidence in times of
"slump play".

I tried to keep the fairways on a muncipal course type basis (not to narrow,
but not too wide). I tried to keep a mixed bag of long par 4's
and short par 4's. I also tried to make the par threes and fives a little
challenging without breaking the pace of the course play. A good example is
the par five 7th with a split fairway (the fairway to the south is the better
approach). Another good example is the par 3 3rd with the bunker sorrounding
the green.

I know I need to work elevation, I quite haven't got the knack for
it yet. I also could improve on object placement. Speaking of objects, I
used the objects from Gene Rodriguez's gr3obj01 file. I modified a few
objects by adding some color (mainly to the bushes), and I imported the bench
and ball washer from Seminole Wind. Thank you Gene for the objects, and I
don't know who made the bench/ballwasher but thank you.

I used the Sherwood landplot and background. I really didn't modify the back-
ground at all. I will work on backgrounds my next course. I started with a
level land plot and built up on it. I tried to get the hill in the upper
left corner higher than what it really is. Like I said before, I need to work
on the elevation part of design. I couldn't figure out how to get it to look
like a high ridge from the fairway (hence the name Eagle Ridge).

I wanted to dub the third hole the signature hole, but I settled for naming it
"The Eagle's Nest" becuase the bunker does resemble a nest from above. At
least I think so.

If any of the veteran designers have any hints on how to improve my design
work, I would greatly appreciate them. My goal is to design a course for use
on the PGNT, that is if you guys are willing to share the spotlight with me.
Please send me any comments you have via Accolade BBS or on Prodigy. I would
like to thank you in advance.
