[This is a flight plan for flying from Miami to Puerto Rico]
The entire flight will take at most 2 hrs. 30 mins., depending on your
type of aircraft.

********* MIAMI - PUERTO RICO *********

Miami Int'l to San Juan Int'l via Bimini, Providenciales and Grand Turk

1) Boot FS4 with PR-START.MOD as the default startup mode
(see instructions in PR.TXT, <Note about Startup Mode> section)

2) Set "Auto Load Static Scenery" to OFF

3) Load FLS001MB.SC1 (Mike Barr's Miami Static Scenery)

4) Load the SD-7 scenery

5) Position your aircraft at Miami Int'l: N10355, E19616, Heading 180
(these are the default PR-START.MOD coordinates)

*** You will be on the Miami Ramp ***

6) Tune VOR 1 to Bimini, 116.7, and your ADF to 320
(you are 54 miles from Bimini)

7) Taxi to Runway 9L, run through your check, and take off

8) Head 098 to intercept the 094 Radial to Bimini

9) Climb & Maintain 5000 to avoid arriving aircraft
(remember to maintain 250 Knots below 10,000)

10) At 20 miles DME from Bimini climb & maintain FL 330 (or your
preferred altitude)

11) Cross the VOR station, and continue on a 094 heading, flying
away from the station

12) After you lose the Bimini VOR signal, load the PR-BAHAM.SC1
scenery file and switch to the FS 4.0b Default Scenery.
(Continue to maintain your 094 heading.)

13) When you intercept the Stella Maris NDB 320 signal fly there
(this is the longest part of your trip, but be patient...
or jump into "hyperspace" <slew mode>)

*** You could land on Providenciales if you ***
*** want to or continue onward to Grand Turk ***

14) You'll get the Stella Maris NDB about 200 miles out. When over the
station, turn right to a 128 heading and tune to Providenciales
NDB 387, and to the Grand Turk VOR on 114.2

15) First track the ADF, then when the VOR gets active turn and
fly direct to Grand Turk (you can set your ADF to Grand Turk
NDB 232 for reference; it's closer to the VOR station)

*** You could land on Grand Turk island if you ***
*** want to, or continue onward to Puerto Rico ***

16) When you are over Grand Turk VOR, turn to fly away from the
station on a heading of 128 degrees

17) When you lose the VOR signal, tune San Juan VOR on
114.0 and the Dorado NDB on 391

*** INSTRUCTIONS BELOW ARE NEEDED TO END THE TRIP SUCCESSFULLY ***

Pause your simulation......Press the ';' key to create a
mode...Name it 'PR-RESET' and save it to Disk (+3,+4)...
Quit your simulation...Restart FS4 again...You should be
autoloaded with PR-START.MOD, and will be placed as usual on
the Miami Int'l ramp.

Don't load SD-7 at this time. Turn "Auto Load Static
Scenery" off (1,J,3 spacebar), then load the PR-Reset mode that
you created earlier. Next load PR-CENTER.SC1, unpause, and
continue your trip on the 128 heading.

18) When you pick up its signal, head direct to the Dorado NDB.

19) At 90 DME from the San Juan VOR descend and maintain 10,000.

20) Don't track the San Juan VOR or you will get off the desired
approach path. Track the Dorado NDB.

21) You'll see the island when about 65 miles out. Tune the San Juan
Atis on 125.80.

22) At 45 miles DME reduce your speed to 250 Knots, and descend and
maintain 3,000.

23) When over the NDB, turn left heading 125 to intercept the
ILS (110.3) for runway 8. (Also tune to Patty 330 NDB - this is
the LOM.)

*** You could land on Runway 10 also, but you'd ***
*** have to turn at the NDB to a 090 heading ***
*** to intercept the Runway 10 ILS on 109.7 ***

-----------------------------------------------------------------
BE CAREFUL WHEN CHANGING TO VISUAL APPROACH...ISLA GRANDE
AIRPORT IS VERY CLOSE TO SAN JUAN INT'L AND YOU MIGHT GET
CONFUSED. OF COURSE YOU COULD NOT LAND A HEAVY ON THAT AIRPORT
BUT A LEAR JET OR SMALL TURBINE AIRCRAFT IS PERMITTED
