This program (charedit) is intended to be used with SSI's Forgotten Realms
Unlimited Adventures (FRUA) on IBM (dos) machines. It allows editing of
characters, and is not entirely complete (I plan to add more options). To use
it just type at the prompt:
       charedit drive:\path\charname.cch

examples:
       charedit c:\games\frua\yezu.dsn\save\palamor.cch
       charedit yezu.dsn\monst001.dat

This command line option, coupled with doskey, makes retyping of paths
unnecessary.

GENERAL COMMENTS:

I have played with it and have noticed a few things:

   1) When you make illegal classes by race (i.e. dwarf magic-user), the
character's name will not highlite when the character's XP are high enough
to advance a level.
   2) I made an elf m-u/thief. The module was of high level. The thief level
was about 17, the m-u level was maxed at 11th. So I edited the m-u level above
11th, and noticed that my spell-book was that of an 11th level m-u. Made
sense. I had to find scrolls for higher level spells, or get them upon level
advancement. I may make m-u's spell books editable in the future.
   3) Characters with 25 strength get the FULL bonus of that strength!
Awesome in combat! Also, 25 constitution fighters get 7 extra hitpoints
per level!
