SCRAMBLE P-47
As you taxi down the runway, your
radio clicks on. "Hello, little
American! Hot enough for ya!", cries a
voice merrily. Oh no, you think. Another
English-speaking German pilot. "Ah, I
see you, poor P-47! Are you wondering
what happened to all your friends? They
are telling tales of my valor to the
fish in the English Channel!"
"Who are you?!", you yell to the
mike. "Eisenlau!", returns the radio.
"Herr Eisenlau, to you! Frightened,
Amerikaner? Then let's make a deal. You
help me strafe your airfield. Then, when
I shoot you down- that, my dear friend,
is inevitable- I won't strafe your
parachute! Fair, eh? Wha choo say, bo?"
You watch for Eisenlau's plane, known
far and wide for its insignia of Uncle
Sam gutshot by a 30mm cannon.
