Test the Go 229 Prototype in Combat

  Unbeknownst to all, the German
Luftwaffe actually had developed a
prototype of the Gotha Go 229 in early
1944. In this mission you will test the
prototype in combat against the Allied
P-47's during their raid against the
important munitions factory at
Wilhemshaven.

July 12, 1944
Your commander rushes you down to the
briefing room. The German radar has
detected a multitude of small blips,
probably P-47's, heading towards the
munitions factory at Wilhemshaven. This
factory accounts for the production of
52% of the nation's new short range 112
millimeter Flak shells. If this key
factory is destroyed, much of the
Reich's key research centers will be
left undefended!
Your mission is to intercept the
P-47's and do as much damage as you can
in the initial attack. After picking
off the stragglers, rush ahead to join
the expert group of Focke-Wulf 190's
headed by Hauptmann Eisenlau, which is
now taking off from their airfield to
patrol the factory. With them intercept
the P-47 flight group again, and turn
them back before they reach the
factory.
  Your commander thrusts the briefing
map into your hands and escorts you
down toward the special hanger, bearing
an intimidating 'Achtung, Verboten!'
sign, which contains your aircraft.
Waving the two SS guards aside, your
commander helps you into the cockpit.
The steel doors of the hanger open, and
you expertly pilot your Gotha toward
the runway, returning a salute from
your comrades.
