			Fairlight proudly presents
a cheat for SSI's "The Summoning"

Cheats by: Hare Krishna/Fairlight
Supplied by: Fairlight
Date: 9-17-92 (1 1/2 days old)

Quick and dirty-I had the cheats ready to run, a text file already typed up
for them in study hall, but alas the files kept changing sizes... Back
to the drawing board.

--UNZIP ALL THE FILES INTO YOUR \SAVES DIRECTORY--

Babbleonia: You've basically got three options for a cheat with this game.
You can create your own character, save the game, and, if the saved game
file (D20#.SAV in the \SAVES directory) is about 30K, you can run a Debug
script on it (provided). If you play the game just a tiny bit and get it
up to about 70K, you can use that cheat as well. That's your first option.
Your second option is to use the provided, "brand-new" game with a character
already edited and ready to plunder all the women, rape all the men, and
kill all the villages. Something like that. Or, your third option is to
figure it out yourself with a sector editor, if you're really into the game.
While the address for the stuff changes, it remains roughly 21 sectors
(about 10K) behind the end of the file. You can edit that on your own.

1st option: Type "Summon". Choose a new character, face, name. Get into
the game, and save it. If the file's around 30K, type this:
"Debug (savedgame) <debug.30K". If it's more than 30K, talk to a couple
more people in the game to get it up to about 70K. Then type:
"Debug (savedgamename) <debug.70K". Load the saved game back up inside
of the game, and you're ready to rock and roll.

2nd option: Unzip the file "d201.sav" into your \Saves directory. If
you already have a file with that name, try calling it "d208.sav" or
something. Load the Summoning, select "restore game", and restore
the one that calls itself "Fairlight Cheat V.1.0" You can then start
out with a great kickass character, but you can't restore health after
you've been wounded with a normal cheat. The character's already
cheated, and that's as far as it's going.

3rd option: Good luck. 21 sectors from the end, roughly 10K.

To all: Sorry this was such a mess, I certainly wouldn't've programmed
it like that. On the other hand, I don't program, so maybe the pirate
community's fortunate. :)

You know, it's good to know that INC seems to listen to the same music
I do and follow it by heart: "There's a place up ahead that I'm going,
just as fast as my feet can fly; Come away, come away if you're going,
leave the sinking ship behind..."
