    INTRODUCTION:
The Leading Edge Model "D" supports a hi-res graphic mode of 640x200 with
16 colors. No commercial software companies provide support for this
graphic mode. I previously developed a graphic overlay that could be used
with Sierra On-Line's graphic adventure games. This overlay file allowed
owners of the Model "D" with a color monitor to use these games in the 16-
color mode. I uploaded this to a couple of bulletin boards and it seems to
have made it through a few states at least. The old Sierra games (i.e.
King's Quest I, II, & III; Space Quest I & II; Black Cauldron; Police Quest
I; Leisure Suit Larry I; Mixed-Up Mother Goose; Manhunter) used the
Adventure Game Interpreter (AGI). For CGA graphics they used a file called
CGAGRAF.OVL. Now Sierra's games use higher resolution graphics and a new
SCript Interpreter (SCI). All graphic device drivers for this new series
of games are files labeled with a .DRV extension. I have written a graphic
driver to support the Leading Edge in 16 colors for these new games (i.e.
King's Quest IV, Leisure Suit Larry II, Police Quest II, Space Quest III).
    The driver is called LE16C.DRV.

    INSTALLATION:
To use this new graphic driver with these games simply:
            1. Copy LE16C.DRV to the same directory the other .DRV files
that came with the game are located.
            2. Run INSTALL.EXE.

            3. Choose the Leading Edge Driver from the Display Driver Selection
               screen.
            4. Run the game and enjoy.

NOTE: This installation process has only been verified with King's Quest
IV, but should work with the other new Sierra games as far as I can tell.
I haven't yet purchased the others. I am interested in any experience
(negative or posotive) you may have installing it with those other games.

I am continuing to work on providing 16-color support of popular games for
the Leading Edge. I will finish Jack Nicklaus Golf in the next week or
so. I work on the programs that my family uses and that are
straightforward to implement. Support for the older Sierra games can be
found in an archive file labeled SIERROVL.ARC on bulletin boards. This
file should be found in an archive labeled LE16CDRV.ARC and be accompanied
with the LE16C.DRV file. If you have questions, comments, suggestions or
would like to provide some limited financial support for further work in
this area I can be contacted at:
