[*] iNDEPTH REViEW OF DOOM ][ HELL ON EARTH [*]

This *IS* the game of the year. For all Doom fans Doom ][: Hell
On Earth is no dissapointment. The graphics are supreme and
unbelievable. The newly rendered backgrounds blow away anything ever
done in Doom 1, especially the levels set in the city. New enemies such
as a chain-saw shooting sargeant who gives up his gun when you kill him.
Clones of the Baron of Hell as well as the Spider Mastermind, and a
new enemies similar to the CacoDaemon who shoots Lost Souls out when
killed. A brand-new double-barreled shotgun provides a nice new addition
to the already wicked gun arsenal. And 30+ new levels which are all both
great in size and challenge, with a variety of switches and puzzles to
figure out, along with the modem support, control, and blood that made
Doom famous (hint: kill the chaingun guy at point-blank with a
double-barreled shotgun and check out the carnage!). The modem support
is back and better then ever, with DeathMatch 2.0 things can really
rock. The music in Doom is spectacular also, especially in levels 15-30.
Some of the music actually resembles chords from Alice and Chains and
other groups, if you listen hard you may see a resemblense to the chords
in Angry Chair on one of the levels. The sounds are great, though I
would have liked to see more new ones. The textures on the walls are all
new and now includes doors that open both slowly and fast, as well as
quietly and loud, for greater realism. This game basically kicks and I
won't say too much about it other then to get it! Read On!

                          [*] CHEAT CODES [*]

Same cheat codes work as in Doom 1, except for the no-clipping
code. Codes are as follows...

       IDDQD INVINCIBLE!
IDKFA KILLER FUCKING ARSENAL! (ALL GUNS)
       IDCLIPPERS CHAINSAW!!
       IDBEHOLD(?) TOGGLES SEVERAL OPTIONS
               (A) ALLMAP
               (L) ALL LIGHTS ON
               (V) INVINCIBLE WITH WHITE SCREEN
               (S) BESERK MODE, KILL WITH FISTS
IDCLEV(XX) WARP LEVELS FOLLOWED BY LEVEL NUMBER IN (XX)

                            [*] HiNTS! [*]

You've read this far so now I'll give you a laugh. Go ahead and
warp to levels 31 by typing IDCLEV31, this secret level is a clone of
the first level of Wolf-3d, even including the cute little Wolf guards.
Progress through this level and you can go to 32 which resembles the
second wolf-3d level, where you get to fight the Spider-Demon at the
end, as well as enter a comical room with little Commander Keen's
hanging upside down mutilated. I think you'll find it to be a fun
flashback.

                         [*] FiNAL NOTES [*]

Well great release, thank you Razor. I don't normally write
quick-docs, but I thought I'd let out how great this game is, and try to
let more people in on the cool Wolf-3d clone level. Well happy Dooming,
and some people are claiming this release is a Beta. I personally have
had no problems, but if you have a problem try re-installing, its worked
for others, may work for you.
