DEFEND DEINZE V2 SITE

JULY 4, 1944 1100 HOURS, WEVELGHEM 1ST
FW 190 GRUPPE.

Attention Gentlemen ! Our spies near
the American B17 base at Framlingham
have reported a fligth of B-17G's took
off only a while ago. These same air
craft were sighted in the channel about
one hour ago. They are flying south by
south east and will probably cross the
French coast north of Calais and south
of Nieuwport at about 1210 this after-
noon. Other spies indicate that they
may be attacking our V2 site at Deinze.
If this is true the Americans could be
over Deinze by as early as 1220. They
will likely turn directly east toward
Deinze soon after making land.

The bombers are only six in number, and
appear not to have any fighter escort.
They apparently think they can creep in
at about 12000 feet, hit, and run. They
must be stopped at all cost. We have
the assets to put four FW190's in the
air to challenge them.

Hauptman ! You shall lead this Schwarm
and stop the Americans. You may assign
whichever pilots you like to accompany
you. I have ordered the armorer to make
as much cannon, machine gun, and rocket
ammo as the planes can carry available.

You shall take off at noon, and though
I would not tell you how to lead your
schwarm Herr Hauptman, could I suggest
a direction of about 296 or 7 to Deinze
and then fly directly west from there.
If the Americans are intending to
attack Deinze you should run right into
them.

Good luck Herr Hauptman and Heil
Hitler !!!!
