            MISSION: TAP DANCE

The time is late summer 1944. You are
the flight leader in a group of three B-17s
sent to bomb and destroy JUVISY RAIL CENTER
in an attempt to slow the re-enforcements
being transported by rail to the front in
France. TAP DANCE, the code name for this
mission, was picked by command because they
were told that the Luftwaffe is no longer a
threat to their bombers. You will have an
escort for this mission just the same.

The target must be destroyed so there
will be a total of nine bombers in three
groups of three. Yours will be in the
middle with a group lower and in front and
and a group higher and behind. Your
aimming point will be the two large
buildings at the south end of the RAIL
CENTER.

You know that intelligence has reported
that there has been less fighter activity
in the area, but the numbers of planes
shot down just can't account for this.
Has the Luftwaffe pulled pilots from the
area? Why? You've heard the rumors of
a new SECRET WEAPON OF THE LUFTWAFFE.
You thought the V-1 and the V-2 could
account for these rumors, but these
rumors won't stop. Do they have
something else?

If they do, what does this mean for
you and the Allied Air Forces?

   Time will tell.
