June 6, 1944 (D-Day)

For months the German High Command has
been predicting the imminent Allied
invasion of Europe. Intelligence has
predicted that the attack will come at
the narrowest part of the Channel near
Calais. As a result Luftwaffe strength
has been shifted towards that area in
anticipation of the attack. This has
weakened other airfields and reduced
the number of aircraft available to
deal with any threat.

The weather has been bad and the Allies
are known to attack only in good weather
so the remaining pilots have been given
passes. Only a small force of fighters
and pilots are left to protect the
airfield against any possible threat.

Unfortunately, for you and your wingman,
Hauptman Martin Becker, you have been
chosen for this duty and it looks like you
will be put to the test.

The date is June 6, 1944 and the time is
early morning. As you scramble into the
cockpit of your Fw190 the crew chief has
already been warming up you see low
flying planes coming straight for you!

                Mission Orders

Scramble into the air and down the enemy
aircraft. Protect your base and then
follow your waypoints to patrol the area
near your airbase. You can attack any
and all enemy planes you come across.

The liberation of Europe has begun and
you and your wingman must attempt to stop
it!
