COPYRIGHT: none! Enjoy & distribute & modify but try to mention my work & send your thoughts @ my email INTRODUCTION WHAT YOU WILL FIND 1. All textures are stitched (no breaks & sudden changes) 2. The play increases in hardness with each level. Bad guys get tougher 3. The main weapons are progressively found 4. Deathmatch & multi player are in 5. Levels of difficulty in 6. There are no dead-ends or impossible situations 7. No HOM's (hall of mirror effects) 8. All objects have a purpose ,rooms are not cluttered with useless items 9. These levels are aesthetically pleasing. Great effort went into planning complimentary textures and visual graphics. 10. These are not mayhem levels with bosses in every room. Some death rooms have been included but they are optional and not essential to finish the level . The levels were intendedto be addons to the original DOOM2 HINTS & PROFILES GENERAL 1. Secret rooms can be identified.Look for unusual panels or items like lights besides them 2. Keys are not hidden 3. What goes up must come down ( look for secondary switches to do this ) 4. Dont waste ammo in death rooms (unless in cheat mode -see below) 5. CHEAT CODES : IDCLIP ( replaces idspispopd--yeahh! ) walk through walls IDFA (instead of idkfa) gives you ammo but no keys, that way you can still follow the natural game progression IDDQD god mode for whimps & wad level tourists. NOTE: on some types of nukage or lava this does not work. GET OUT FAST! IDBEHOLDV temporary god mode.Other options available @ idbehold... IDDT gives you full level map at tab, do it again & you get monster & object locations (bad guys move if they hear you) IDCLEV followed immediately by level ( 02, 12, 24 etc) warps you there 6. TO RUN THESE LEVELS (I know you know but they dont) COPY THE WAD FILES TO YOUR DOOM2 DIRECTORY! Go to doom2 directory (ie cd\ doom2) At prompt type in DOOM2 - FILE 01.WAD (01.wad can be replaced by whatever wad you want) To load them all at once & play them in order type : DOOM2 -FILE01.WAD 02.WAD 03.WAD etc. etc. DOOM2 will tell you this is not the real thing & ask you to continue Press enter & ENJOY! LEVEL 01 ( NO CHOICE ) The choice of direction is obvious hence the title 3 keys required In the entry room the drums are your best bet for survival Go slow in the corridors, lots of ambushes The skin room has a secret switch to the death room LEVEL 02 ( ISLD-HOP ) Lots of islands & nasty stuff between them 2 keys required The teleports are important . Where you land is a hint of where to go next In the wood room the bad guys keep appearing, the invulnerability sphere is hidden nearby There are lots of suits to protect you The dark room has eyes ( light goggles that is ) The last room (warehouse} is tricky look for switches behind boxes & find a way to move them LEVEL 03 ( CLIFFTKS ) The only wad with help from an unknown author. l modified the wad & added areas Visually great! This level has rooms that change ( yes thats right) you wont know where you are-great effect! 1 switch needed to enter last room & its not close Large optional hidden death area LEVEL 04 ( THE PITS ) The level just makes you go down & down The BFG & SPHERE are available but you almost have to finish the level to get them Look for something else in the nuke pits (stairways to heaven ) Does the skullface block the door? -find the switch in the skin room but try to find the teleporter to come back- its healthier Enjoy the death room (or passage) dont stick around unless you enjoy blood -yours! LEVEL 05 ( OCTAGONS ) look at the map you'll know why 1 key to get out The entrance is tough but (a crack in the floor will break your mother's back) or at least raise a switch to get out Worse trouble in the next room? use the barrels but get out of the way first! You went into that nice room but you cant get out -the answer is a combination of the 2 hints above Oops!! watch that crusher but look at the wall behind it after you press all those buttons on the raising floor You went down the stairs but you cant get up -keep going the switch & the suit will give you a hint I know you pressed the wrong switch & all HELL broke loose but this is DOOM! The rest is easy except for the next room and the next room....... If you gey a face full of barons & mancubusus (mancubusi?) get those switches & let your fingers do the SQUISHING! A room with 2 bosses (I know I said I wouldnt) but what goes round comes round, get them dizzy & they will fix each other while you watch in relative safety. Relatives have nothing to do with it, I suggest you help Mr. Cyber ,the spider could use an extra 5-8 rocket rounds in him -he's though & mean & soon you'll be dessert LEVEL 06 ( THE BURBS ) For those who like the great outdoors See those guys shooting at you from above -deal with them now ,it will make things easier later ( like eating the cake & saving the icing for last ) You need 1 key to get out ( no IDKFA now!!!) This one is pretty straight forward a no brainer You find a room with only 1 soldier, look around first for some major defence before you terminate him. This is a tough room If the mancubus suddenly appear in a room there is help right behind one of them Fight big spidey only if you want the goodies(I know you cant resist it) You dont have to fight the last bad guys you can run past them to exit (chicken!) I know,where's the arch guy . I think he may be the toughest of them all (with lots of other bad guys ) around . He likes to show off for his dead buddies! He will be making a guest appearance in the next level (CASTLE KEEP) & others available soon! Email me & I will tell you where they have been uploaded GOOD DOOM2ING! PS Look for new shareware DESCENT (archie can locate) Its a combination DOOM, RAMPAGE, & a FLIGHT SIM. in 3D!! with rooms above rooms , great weapons, neat bad guys, multi-player,fantastic sounds, works great (on 486-50 or better) , lots of options.
