Welcome to my DOOM "home movie" created using the -record control line option
in DOOM.  These demos were created using the Shareware 1.0 version of DOOM.
The first two levels were played at ultra-violence level, and all the others
were done at the standard level of difficulty.  This is because it seems the
demo feature always starts out with the default weapon- just a pistol.  Even
if you use the "cheat keys" to get full weapons and ammo, this change is
not recorded in the demo and you will still have only a pistol.  (I found
this out the hard way after recording a number of levels only to discover
that in the film I was killed within a matter of seconds.)  It appears there
is no weapons data stored in the demo file so there may not be a way to get
around this problem at this point.

Also, these levels were played on a 486DX2-66 and I am not sure if the
machine the demos are recorded on effects their playback on other
machines...  (I don't expect so, since Id probably used this feature to
record the demos that come with the game.)  If you have problems, contact

TOUR OF DOOM will take you through all the levels, including the secret level
and the boss level.  I didn't bother to get to every single secret door but I
think the majority of them are there.  I also discovered an interesting way
to complete the boss level this time around.  It can be BENEFICIAL (!) to get
the Minotaurs off the platform...

To run the tour, just copy all of the enclosed files to your DOOM directory
and then run the TOUR.BAT batch file.  To run an individual level, type
the following from your DOOM directory:

DOOM -DEVPARM -PLAYDEMO TRSECRET

The last item (TRSECRET in y example) is the name of the specific demo you want
to run, in this case the secret level.  Levels one through seven are named
accordingly.  Level eight is the boss level- level nine is the secret level.
