Hi Friends! There's 3 things that you can do with this version of the DoomED-The Real Thing Tutorial. This is not a text file like the last version I made. Instead this is a true windows help file. I created it with a program called Visual Help. And it's made by WinWare, P.O. Box 2923, Mission Viejo, Ca 92690. It costs $49.00, but if you ever need to make a windows help file, it makes great ones. Here's what you can do: 1) Go to your DoomED 2.60 or 2.60b4 directory and move the file called doomed.hlp to a safe place. Rename my file to doomed.hlp and move it to your DoomED 2.60 or 2.60b4 directory. Now, when you're running DoomED, if you click on HELP and pick CONTENTS, you'll see my tutorial come up. You'll also get 2 error messages that say "Help topic does not exist". Click OK in both dialog boxes and you're ready to use the tutorial. I'm not sure why it gives you the error messages. 2) You can create a seperate group window for my tutorial help file. In Program Manager, pick FILE, then pick NEW, then pick Program Item. Click OK. Fill in all the necessary information, the help file has its own built-in icon. That's it. You can run it as a seperate file as you use DoomED if you want. Or read it at your own leasure. 3) You can do neither of the above and just go to File Manager and pick any file with an .HLP extension. Just click on, don't double click on it. Now go up to FILE and pick ASSOCIATE. Associate files with the .HLP extension with WINHELP.EXE if they're not already. Now anytime you click on my help file or any help file while you're in File Manager, they'll be displayed on screen. Well, that's about it. I hope you like this version of the tutorial. This tutorial is free, but I'll gladly take donations of any kind to help pay for the price of the program :-). Also, if anyone needs a help file similar to this one, send me an E-Mail message, and we'll discuss it. Thanks for your time and support, David Bruni CIS 74353,357 12/13/94
