(for NeXT only) Message-ID: <1994Feb12.142904.7060@cs.yale.edu> From: jhh@genesis5.physics.yale.edu (Jim Horne) Date: Sat, 12 Feb 1994 14:29:04 Sender: news@cs.yale.edu (Usenet News) Organization: Yale University, Department of Computer Science, New Haven, CT Nntp-Posting-Host: genesis5.physics.yale.edu Lines: 16 Xref: ludens comp.sys.ibm.pc.games.action:22352 alt.games.doom:3916 IT HAS BEEN RELEASED!!!! Well, now we know what those mad geniuses at ID have been doing: they've been working on the NeXT version of 1.2 instead of the DOS version. It is available on cs.orst.edu as a FAT binary, so now I can run it on my NeXTstation instead of stealing my workmate's Intel box, or using my officemate's piece-of-crap 386 machine. It works in 2-bit grayscale in addition to color. Enough of this posting. I'm going to play. -- Jim Horne jhh@waldzell.physics.yale.edu "With stupidity the gods themselves struggle in vain."
