There are dozens of additional utilities and program on this CD-ROM for editing game levels. Each of the directories described below contains an assortment of useful programs, each program in its own subdirectory. To install these files, change to the appropriate directory on the CD-ROM, and copy all the files to an empty directory on your hard drive. In some cases, there may be an installation program (INSTALL.EXE for example) that you need to run. \UTILS\EDITORS -- Level Editors \UTILS\EXE_EDIT -- EXE Editors \UTILS\BUILDERS -- Node and Reject Builders \UTILS\RESOURCE -- Resource Editors \UTILS\SOUND -- Sound and Music Tools \UTILS\RANDOM -- Randomizers \UTILS\SCRIPTS -- Hexen Scripting \UTILS\MISC -- Miscellaneous Tools \UTILS\LINUX -- Tools for the Linux Operating System Click on the "View List of Programs" button to read the \UTILS\INDEX.TXT file; it contains a list of all the programs in these directories. Windows users, you can open the "Utilities Programs" document in the disc's program group. This opens the \UTILS\INDEX.WRI file, which is simply a Windows Write version of the same document. Many of these tools are freeware or public domain software; some are distributed as shareware--if you continue to use the software, you should register the program with the author.
