| D�xmage Sports Club is formed to promote and develop sports for all, leads by experienced and qualified coaches in a safe and friendly environment.We aimed to help young people interact with others through their involvement in sports, thereby enhanced their social and personal skills. The philosophy of the club is to help everyone - enjoys the sports of Gymnastics - do the best of their ability - learn correct techniques - become strong and fit physically and mentally - enhancing social development - Self-esteem and awareness of their value in society The types of physical and mental skills learnt are in fact foundation stones for many other aspects of lives. Our Programmes are endorsed under : Singapore Sports Council (SSC) SPORTS EDUCATION PROGRAMME 2007 (SEP07) � D�Artistic Gymnastics � Rhythmic Gymnastics � Recreational Gymnastics Carnival PEOPLE�S ASSOCIATION (PA) COURSES/LEARNING PROGRAMMES AT CCs/RCs � Kids Rhythmic I � Recreational Rhythmic I � Recreational Rhythmic II D'xmage coaching programs range from Kids Gym, Junior Gym, and Senior Gym to Recreational Gym in both Artistic and Rhythmic Gymnastics. Focus will be on fun, fitness and friendship in a safe environment that develop strength, balance, flexibility and reflexes whilst teaching general gymnastic skills. Additionally, more advanced and higher grade skills are taught and supported. Unique - tailored programs are also available for special-needs of individual or group. The above in-gym programs will endow participants with an impressive physique, poise and self confidence that will not only enable them to excel in Gymnastics but will give them a healthy life style and an excellent foundation stone for most other sports and indeed for many challenges that life may present them with. D�Artistic Gymnastics Program is an introduction to the beginning level of gymnastics. Students will learn fundamental movements� elements: locomotion, jumps, leaps, balances turns and pivots. They will also explore the joy of movement and the satisfaction of mastering new skills This Program introduces a safe, enjoyable alternative to traditional gymnastics programs through fun and learns. It also helps students to build teamwork, self-confidence, collaboration and leadership skills. It enhances creativity and builds self-confidence, increase flexibility and strength, preparing the body for the life's challenges It is especially beneficial for students, because it teaches skills that promote overall fitness, while providing a structured learning environment that benefits comprehensive educational development. Rhythmic Gymnastics is a sport for single or groups manipulating different types of apparatus together with music, performing skills of flexibility and strength. Girls use apparatus such as ball, clubs, hoop, ribbon and rope and boys use ring, stick, robe and clubs. It develops physical skills such as flexibility, balance, power, endurance, dexterity, coordination and grace, as well as cognitive abilities such as problem solving, decision making and social skill. Our Program is open to anyone as it is the best way to discover the wonders of Rhythmic Gymnastics through fun and learning. Students learn basic techniques of rhythmic gymnastics using apparatus in harmony with music. It enhances co-ordination and agility, for body awareness and balance to build confidence, muscular flexibility and team skill. Rhythmic Gymnastics allows students to discover and develop their own personality and express themselves through individual music, costume and choreography. Teaching Methods Trainers are formally Gymnasts and have taught Gymnastics for many years. They will teach the students the right technique and encourage them to work on their own level, discovery within their individual capabilities. Trainers will demonstrate and teach the students the right technique through: - Physical Conditioning, using the right technique to develop strength and flexibility - Fundamental movement identification - Demonstrate different dance steps / movements - Application of skill progressions and drills - Exploration and discovery with apparatus - Learning extension with tasks and challenges - List and point out errors in technique and posture - Sequence and routine development - Choreograph a short routine suitable for students � Testing and evaluation Lesson of 2 hrs -warm up with stretching and conditioning (20 min) -Basic head / body / hand & foot works (30 min) -Practices and drills(30 min) -Learning extension with tasks & challenges (30 min) -Cool Down (10 min) Sports Exposure of 3 Hours Artistic & Rhythmic Gymnastics - Introductory Clinics (20min) - Light warm-up (15 min) - Fundamental movement�s identification (25 min) - Demonstrations of movements (25 min) - Exploration & Discovery of gymnastics (30 min) - List and point out errors in technique (20 min) - Correct posture (20 min) - Testing & Evaluation(20min) - Cool Down(10 min) D�xmage Sports Club ~ Recreational Gymnastics Carnival This Sports Exposure aims to encourage students to explore and discover gymnastics through the introductory clinics. This carnival focus is on fun, fitness and friendship in an environment that develops strength, balance, flexibility and reflexes while teaching general gymnastic skills. It is also a challenging and exciting activity for everyone focuses on body awareness and co-ordination. Students will learn fundamental movement, concentration, strength and flexibility. They will develop grace in movement, muscular flexibility, and good posture. This carnival also enhances team spirit, confidence building and helps ones to express feeling and emotion through bodily movement. It will inspire creativity and imagination and enables every student to develop fitness in a fun and spectacular ways. The types of physical and mental skills learnt in gymnastics are in fact foundation stones for many other sports and indeed for many challenges that life may present them with. |
