Scary Movie 2

If you have ever seen the first movie and liked it, there's a good chance you'll like the second one. Scary Movie 2 brings back all of the crazy antics that made the first movie unique. For example, there's a scene where Anna Faris (Scary Movie) and Chris Masterson (Malcolm In The Middle) are trapped inside a freezing meat locker. In order to stay alive, these two young actors act out Leonardo Dicaprio's death scene from Titanic, all the meanwhile she gives him a hand job in order to stay warm. What "came" next was a comical out take that had a "sticky" ending (hahahaha).

The sequel features the return of some familiar faces. Marlon and Shawn Wayans (The Wayans Bros.) return to their roles as Ray and Shorty, retrospectively. The delightful Regina Hall also returns as the hilarious Brenda "I Got You On Candid Camera" Meeks. New comers to the sequel include Tori Spelling and Kathleen Robertson (both from Beverly Hills, 90210), Tim Curry (The Rocky Horror Picture Show), James Woods (Casino), Richard Moll (Night Court), and Chris Elliott (There Is Something About Mary).

Just like in the first movie, Scary Movie 2 features scenes and out takes from other Hollywood hits. Some of these parodies include scenes from The Exorcist, Poltergeist, The Haunting, Titanic, The House On Haunted Hill, Black Cat, Charlie's Angels, Ghostbusters, and What Lies Beneath. If you watch the movie carefully, you'll see what the movie was badly edited. In one shot, a character would be with a group of friends. A few seconds later they were gone, but only to later reappear at the end of the scene. This movie was made in less than a year and looks like it could have been filmed in a few days.

Despite the horrible editing and overacting done by Tori Spelling, Scary Movie 2 is a comedy that will keep you on the edge of your seat laughing. Don't get me wrong though, there are some scenes in which the jokes are dumb and only silence could only be heard in the theater. Don't worry though, there is enough gross and dark humor to keep the fans "coming" back for more.
