Examples of Channel Referrals
Below are some examples of real taxi requests that have been made (complete with spelling mistakes ;-) and how they were handled. This should give you an indication of how to deal with things.
Example 1:
      Lythanor asks you: heya can i please have a taxi to OC?
      You tell Lythanor: I'm afraid I'm busy at the moment, but if you tell me where you are I will ask the others in the club.
      Lythanor tells you: im near the am thieves guild i can walk to the drum also
      (Taxi) Evox Brainchild: Lythanor from Drum to OC.
 [ 3 minutes silence]
      (Taxi) Evox Brainchild: Can anyone take it?
      (Taxi) Samara Le'Zatapathique: I can
      (Taxi) Evox Brainchild: Thanks
Example 2:
      Llew asks you: would it be possible to get a taxi to klk fomr 1 e of the drum please if you are not busy?
      You tell Llew: Sorry, I'm out of scrolls. But I'll ask on the club channel.
    (Taxi) Thirsha al'Nighter: Llew needs a portal from 1 east of the drum to KLK.
 [ 30 seconds later]
     (Taxi) Thirsha al'Nighter: Anyone?
     (Taxi) SpaceCowGirl: I'll get tit.
Example 3:
      KaLBa asks you: taxi from drum to klk?
      You tell KaLBa: Okay.
  [ portal to Drum]
      KaLBa gives 5 Ankh-Morpork dollars to you.
      You salute KaLBa.
      You tell KaLBa: 1 west please
      KaLBa arrives from the east.
      You ask KaLBa: Where in KLK do you want to go?
      KaLBa tells you: temp/pahroah's
      You nod at KaLBa.
   [ portal to Khot-Lip-Khin]
      KaLBa moves through the mysterious stone door.
      KaLBa thanks you.
      You wave to KaLBa.
Example 4:
      Seoman asks you: hello, could i have a taxi from sto lat to klk please ?
      You tell Seoman: I'm on my way. :)
  [ portal to Sto Lat]
      You bow deeply to Seoman.
      Seoman greets you.
 [ portal to Khot-Lip-Khin]
      Seoman gives 5 Ankh-Morpork dollars to you.
      You thank Seoman happily.
      Seoman tells you: thanks
      You tell Seoman: And thank you for using the Taxi service. :)
      Seoman moves through the mysterious stone door.
      Seoman tells you: my pleasure
      Seoman bows deeply to you.
Example 5:
JCDenton:
      Tolkien Casaubon tells you: hi are u free for a portal
      Tolkien Casaubon tells you: come outside drum i need a portal for oc please
      You tell Tolkien Casaubon: Afraid I can't, but if you tell me where you wish to go, I can refer you
     (Taxi) JCDenton: Tolkien: Drum --- OC
Evox:
      (Taxi) Evox Brainchild: I'll get him if no one else can.
      (Taxi) JCDenton: Looks like it's yours Evox
      You ask Tolkien Casaubon: you wanted a taxi from Drum to OC?

      (Taxi) Evox Brainchild is on the case
      You salute Father Tolkien Casaubon.
      You tell Tolkien Casaubon: 1 west please.
