President
Lindsey Durham
All about Lindsey (from your editor, with help from Lindsey): Lindsey Durham, one of my good friends, is in almost as many clubs as I am! She is in Key Club (of course.) Last year, she was also in the Beta Club, the One Act Play, the spring musical, Thespian Society, French Club, AND Grand Girls. Sounds like a ton of work, doesn't it? In her not-very-copious free time, Lindsey loves to go out with all of her guys: Benson, Andrew, Lowrey, Mark, etc, as well as Shannon, Laura, Collins, and myself. When not surrounded by her many friends, Lindsey can be found playing Sims 2, listening to the Lizzy McGuire CD, or reading. Her favorite books include Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, Harry Potter, Redwall, and A Series of Unfortunate Events (all of which are recommended VERY highly by both your secretary and editor.) The few things our normally happy Lindsey does NOT like are driving, waking up to early, being cranky (those two seem to go together), and bad hair days. She loved being Secretary last year and President this year, and wants all of you to know that she is available at any time for Key Club questions, or just to chat! She's such a social butterfly. ;)

Vice President
Jenny Kitchen
Hey Yall! I am so happy to be your vice-president for the 2005-2006 school year! I held this position last year and loved it so much that I decided to do it again! This is my fourth (and last :( ) year in Key Club, so I want to make it the best ever! For those of you who dont know me, I can seem shy and quiet at first, but once you get to know me, I am actually a loud and easy-going person. I love playing tennis my partner Taylor Hawke and I play #1 doubles for DWS, playing guitar, sleeping with my puppy, listening to music, and volunteering. I am enjoying my SENIOR year so far and am actively involved in Yearbook (Im the Editor); my churchs youth choir, youth group, and high-school girls ensemble (Higher Ground); Young Life; Campaigners; Writers Group andof courseKey Club. I am looking forward to getting to know all of you this year as we serve DWS, Albany, and our world. I will leave you with my favorite quote by Margaret Mead: Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.

Hey, I'm Kelly, the maker of this wonderfully fantastic website which you (in your utter boredness) are surfing right now. The reason that I took time out of my hectic and interesting life to make this awesome site is not because I'm a geek (though that can be argued), but because I have was selected editor of Key Club this year. That means that not only do I get the joy of constantly updating this website, but I also have the honor of making the nifty newsletter which you'll get every other meeting or so. I'm a Senior right now, and I've been in Key Club since 9th grade. I've always enjoyed it, but this year will definitely be the best. Besides Key Club, I've joined every single exctracarricular activity that's not sports-related that I can. (Band's out because I don't play an instrument, French Club is out because I took Latin, and Student Council isn't NEARLY nerdy enough.) However, I am a varsity debater on the Debate Team, a (very unskilled) member of the Math Team, (probably) extempraneous speaker and personal essay writer for the Literary Team, a Grand Girl, Chair of Writer's Group, President of Beta Club (you may remember my wonderful non-denominational inspiration from the first day of school), Co-President of Science Club, and Secretary of Latin Club. (I make that website too. You can click here to see it.)) Also, I was Miss Latin Club in the Miss DWS pageant last year, and I will reprise that same role this year. I tutor children after school, and I taught an SAT prep class for the seventh graders who were attempting to qualify for the Duke Talent Identification Program (TIP). ((I'm sorry if you're bored about hearing about my life, but I'm bored too, so I'm going to keep typing. You don't have to keep reading.)) That brings up my favorite topic: TIP. I've attended the Duke Summer Studies program for four years now, and I've loved it more each year. I always take a literature class because I'm a literature nerd. I especially love fantasy. For the people who have either no lives or EXTREMELY long attention spans, I'll go ahead and jump the next topic which we were instructed to cover in our bios. (Actually, I told everyone else what to put in their bios, but I figure I should follow my own advice.) In the enourmous amounts of free time that I have, I enjoy reading, writing, surfing the 'net, blogging (on LiveJournal mostly), shopping, listening to music (I like anything but country and bluegrass- and even some country is ok if it has a pop or rock base), going to movies with my friends, annoying my friends with TIP stories, annoying Paul with TIP stories and various other techniques which I have perfected over the years of our friendship, and calling random TIP people to keep in touch. Since my bio is definitely three or four times as long as everyone else's, I'll stop for now. But beware, for I have the power to go back and add MORE random info. Muwahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!! (That was supposed to be an evil laugh.) Note: I scored a 1470 on the SAT's (680 in Math and 790 in Verbal). All hail me! New SAT update: guess who made a 12 on her essay? If you guessed me, you'd be absolutely correct! I think it's all the practice I get writing for this site. A little advice from your Editor to all those who have read this far (and let me commend you on your longer than average attention span): Listen to The Kinks because they're one of the greatest bands ever, right up there with The Beatles and Queen.

Public Relations
Megan Humphries
((Also written by your editor)) This is Megan's first officer position in Key Club, but she is looking forward to stretching her poster-making abilities as far as they can go and enjoying it to the hilt! All jesting aside, she is very excited about all of her new duties (not just the poster making) and about helping others this year. Megan is also in Latin Club for the second year, and she was in the Sound of Music last year and looks forward to being in Beauty and the Beast this spring. Besides volunteering and saving lives, Megan loves to go to the mall (or any clothing store anywhere, really) and shop. She has an amazing collection of shoes chosen with her impeccable fashion sense. Your editor goes to Megan for all of her fashion needs, and Megan dresses her flawlessly. Megan's advice does not stop with your editor; those of you who know Paul Baker may recognize particularly stunning, classy shirts on him. Those stlyish shirts were almost definitely chosen by your Public Relations Official. Also, as if having an almost magic sense of style weren't enough, Megan also loves watching TV and is always up on all the latest shows, from Laguna Beach to The OC to Dawson's Creek, she has seen all the shows and probably owns the DVD's. Megan has also had the joy of discovering the best show in the world, a show that helped cement her friendship to your editor: Buffy the Vampire Slayer, directed by Joss Whedon, the most brilliant mind in television. In other words, Megan is perfect and you should love every minute of her being your officer.

Assistant Editor
William Benson
Since I am a unique person, I am going to be unique and write my profile in the third person: William Benson is the kind of scholastic overachiever that can annoy many a person by being unsatisfied with a grade of which others would be proud, but he shows his discontent only by accident and does not intend to seem conceited. He is also involved in many school-sponsored extra-curricular activities, such as debate, math team, beta club, quiz bowl, french club, science club, and, of course, Key Club. He also participates adamantly in the spring musical and one-act play. When William is not within the sponsorship of Deerfield-Windsor, he often finds himself enjoying a good book, watching a stimulating motion picture, or getting into political arguments in public places with people he doesnt know. He lives in Georgia with his parents and is an avid mediocre golfer.

9th: Butler Stoudenmire
My name is Butler Stoudenmire. I am 14, and I am a Freshman. This is my first year in Key Club. I am also on Student Council and in the Beta Club and Thespian Society. This is also my first year in the One-Act Play. I was in the spring musical (Sound of Music) last year and cannot wait until Beauty and the Beast this year. When not at school, I can be found listening to my Wicked CD while reading Harry Potter. They are by far the best books in the world. If you have not read them, you should be ashamed of yourself. Even though I am not playing football this year, I still love it. On Fridays I will always be painted red, white, and blue, screaming my lungs out. I also love cooking and watching the Food Network. Good Eats rocks. BBQ is my favorite thing to eat (see picture below). I laso love Mythbusters on the Discovery Channel. I just recently visited NYC, and found it to be too much city. The only good things were the Broadway musicals. Sorry, NYC fans. I am very excited about my Freshman year and hope that y'all enjoy this year too.

This is my first year being in Key Club, and I am looking forward to working with everyone else on the board to make this year exciting and fun for all members. Let's see, what do I do in my free time? Well, I play a lot of tennis, shop, am addicted to Myspace, and that's about it. Sounds like fun, ha ha. Well, if any of the juniors have any questions, my e-mail address is below or talk to me at school! Thanks!

12th: Benson Knight
Hello! My name is Benson Knight, and I am very excited about representing the senior members of Key Club for the 2005-2006 year! Here's a little about myself: I just turned 18 on June 16 and can now vote, buy lottery tickets, and be drafted into the army (I'm really pumped about the last one). Another oraganization with which I am involved is the Student Council, and I am the President of the Thespian Society. I enjoy singing, acting, painting, scuba diving, and bowling! For those of you who know me best, you know that I almost always get a cheese burger to eat at restaurants, and I always crush my coke cans after I am finished! My favorite places to visit are NYC and Walt Disney World. I hope to one day work at Disney! I am very excited about our Spring Musical this year, Beauty and the Beast!!!
