Rynos acquire Staley and Heap
Rynos G.M. Bill Walsh on Wednesday sent Ed McCaffrey to the Antz for RB Deuce Staley. McCaffrey done well as of late but hasn't found the endzone. Walsh acquired Staley to cover for super stud Priest Holmes. Holmes is expected to receive a new long term contract during his bye week. Staley is a decent back who has been hot as of late so he should fair well subbing for Holmes even if his future with the club is uncertain. Heap was acquired from the Stallions for TE Jeremy Shockey. Walsh was impressed with Shockey coming out of Miami but he hasn't lived up to the hype. Mostly do to injury and a bad offense in NY. He should be a great TE for years to come. Heap is a big part of the offense in Baltimore so Walsh hopes to get better production out of Heap for the remainder of the year. Heap is also reunited with his TE back up with the Stallions Frank Wycheck.
