| Rynos sign Owens for $80 million!!! |

| Things were all a buzz this afternoon at Sandberg hall Rynos practice facility and head quarters. The Rynos have signed wide receiver Terrell Owens to a 8 year 80 million dollar contract with a 20 million dollar signing bonus. The Rynos are now ready start next year with Shaun Alexander and Terrell Owens as their foundation. Owens followed up a great 2000 season with an even better 2001. He finished the year with 16 touchdowns 93 receptions and 1412 yards and as the #1 WR in the UFFA with 198 points. The Rynos had some tuff choices this off-season on which players they would extend contracts to. After signing Alexander and Owens, they have to let go of key contributors from last year in Garcia, Rod Smith, Ahman Green and A Smith. I asked Rynos GM Bill Walsh about the teams two choices "Well it was very tough, we had a lot of talent to evaluate and decide who we wanted to keep. While we wish we could have them all we had to make a choice. We made are decisions based on many aspects Alexander and Owens where #2 and #1 at there positions last year. They had the most talent and where the healthiest. We wanted to keep Garcia but there is much more depth at the QB positions in the draft this year than at WR or RB. We had some questions about some of the other guys as in: health, the one year wonders and the stability on their respective teams.
