The meeting was called to order by President Edward Patton at 7:00 P.M. on July 15, 2008.
Donna Shine gave the Treasurers report with a balance of $1190.90. A motion to accept was made by Peg Szczygiel and seconded by James O�Dea.
Membership - We now have 120 members.
Correspondence - Mary Murphy and James Shine have had phone calls, which they took care of.
Parade � no report.
Library � Mary Murphy reports that attendance has been increasing.
Irish Festival � August 22 to 24, 2008 will be held in a new location at the Fairgrounds. We will be behind the Agra Center. Bridget English gave a line up of the Musicians who will perform. Irish Classical Theater will present an original play based on 1850�s life on the Seawall. There will be a Mass on Sunday Morning. There will be a raffle for a trip to Ireland for two people. They will be $2.00 per ticket. There will be a ticket booth at the Fair and volunteers are needed to sell tickets. John Blest and Ed Patton will give genealogical seminars. There will be a Children�s Camp to show them Irish Culture.
Old Business:
The display case is being made. Indexing project - Holy Cross Cemetery indexing is coming along slowly.
John Blest talked about indexing St. Joseph Old Cathedral day book and The Friendly Sons minutes.
New Business - There is a new book about Irish Rebels by Kathy Burke.
A motion was made by James Shine to close the meeting at 8:00.
