Things You Should Consider When Cancer Enters The Picture
If you've been diagnosed with any form of cancer, even if you believe you're going to be cured, ALWAYS, ALWAYS make sure your Last Will And Testament  has been completed and completely legal.  Even if you have complete trust in your family members to maintain and supervise your estate, things happen.  Make sure your requests have been taken care of in advance.

RESEARCH, RESEARCH, RESEARCH!  Find out as much as you can about the cancer you have, all medications you're taking and what alternative therapies are available for your situation.  The internet has more information than imaginable.  Try different search engines for additional information.  Have a dictionary handy for assistance.

Make it a goal to have at least five questions for your Oncologist every time you go for a visit.  Questions regarding your treatment options, nutrition, symptoms, etc.  Your doctor will welcome the questions.  When researching, keep a notebook handy or a word processing program on minimize, (i.e., Microsoft Word).
Make your treatment a family effort.  Ask your spouse or children to assist you in research.  Family members will feel more in control of the situation if they're a part of the decision making and the day to day of the journey.
