Rant # 1
First topic, Things that PISS me off!
Mainly, rudeness and inconcideration....I work retail and it always amazes me how many times, while helping a customer......someone will come up to me and just butt right in.......like THEIR questions are so much more important the the questions of the person that was there before them.
I know people are in a hurry, scurry, hurry these days....but come on....can it not wait TWO seconds while I am helping someone else? And if it CAN'T, why are you even in a music store? It's not like the world is going to end if you don't get that new Backstreet Boys CD RIGHT NOW!!! If your in such a hurry to be someplace else.....don't STOP.......simple as that.
And then there is that whole cell phone thing......if you are in the middle of a conversation about when and where to me your SO for dinner, why come into the store? Why not stay in your car until you are finished? Do you know how hard it is to help someone when they have a phone glued to their ear? Believe me, I and the store will still be there when you are finished.....and most likely the CD you are after will still be waiting as well.
I know these are relatively minor things, but to me they point to a bigger concern.....our sociaty is getting so ME/NOW orientaed that we are no longer able to see the little things that make interacting with our fellow humans so rewarding.....and nessasary. It's getting to the point where we don't even realize we ARE being rude and inconsiderate.....
