| What of Battlefields when the war is over? It goes to the crows of course, be they birds, or fae souls picking at the leavings of shattered dreams. To mortal eyes, a most peacable area of suburbs and some country side. One might see children playing in a yard, or admire the secluded house of a well to do located up on a wooded hill. The Sons of Adam and Daughters of Eve do not know that just a short time ago, nightmares and dreams warred around them, and may one day again. To Enchanted sight, despite the tears of Banality from mortal kind that often plague the dreamscape: The area now seems to have both elements of a glittering prize to be won, and a place of horror and carnage. Even the houses seem to have a luster, almost making the drab little suburb glitter like El Dorodo. All the glamour over the area from cantrip and battle seems to have caused the Dreaming to desperately remake the area into something worth fighting over. Still, the chimeric grass is stained with blood, and many of the houses seem to eternally burn with chimeric smoke. While finally "at peace" since the defeat of the Black Horned Lord, there still a forbodding, tempting feel to it all. Be it in some part of wilderness yet unclaimed, the playground, or even some upper middle class family's home, this area is now ripe for the pickings. Sidhe knights and Troll warriors now seek the spoils they helped fight for. Fuaths stalk, skirting away from the most civilized areas. The Redcap Corbies and Satyr Tragos now feel free to ply dark appetites. Often the real victims are the mortals. Jude does help stop ravaging even here, but other abuses do get by. Many Dark Kin with a sense of humor (twisted or otherwise) claim host bodies and spread confusion about the neighborhood. The Kithain who enchant here are not as kind to the mortals as Jude would like. The War maybe over, but the survivors maybe forever scarred.
