History:
For the majority of her life, Dera lived with her aunt and uncle and their family. Her cousin, Myn Donos, was Commander of an X-Wing squadron until it was destroyed. Then he joined the distinguished, but little know, Wraith Squadron. Several times, he lost control of his temper, his mind even, and was nearly kicked out of the squad. But he finally regained control of himself and became a superb pilot.
Dera grew up in his shadow, and had many of his defects. Including his temperament. She was cited several times for outbursts while training to fly an X-Wing. But her illustrious skill in the cockpit made her a top choice for inclusion into a squadron. She was accepted into Blade Squadron. But her temper quickly put an end to her commission there. She was sent from squadron to squadron, each eventually rejecting her because of her lack of emotional control, before landing with Saber Squadron.
Dera was accepted into Saber Squadron as Saber Nine. But there her temper flared worse than ever. Her knack for fighting, outside of the cockpit as much as in, along with the near loss of her best friend in the squadron, Jarred Fain, threatened to destroy her fragile hold on her emotions.
