"IRAC is Missing" Retold
Wonder Woman rushes down the corridor, hoping that she will be in time to dismantle the bomb. Sensing danger, she hesitates as she reaches the entrance to a large warehouse. She enters, cautiously... She is unaware that a laser cannon has locked on and targeted her. It is about to unlease a deadly blast onto the unsuspecting superheroine.
The laser cannon discharges, hitting the amazon princess squarely in the chest. The powerful blast sends her rocketing into the solid warehouse wall. Wonder Woman tumbles to the ground, barely surviving the deadly assault.
The blast to her chest and the impact with the wall left her groggy. She knows that she cannot take another direct hit from the powerful cannon. She leaps as the laser discharges again. The beam catches her leg and lower body in mid-flight, sending her tumbling out of control to the ground. She lands on her feet but her injured legs could not handle the force and she stumbles to the ground.
With her injured legs limiting her mobility, she knows that she cannot run or jump to avoid the laser. Realizing that the cannon will emit another blast, she uses her bracelets to mount her only defense. Wonder Woman prepares as the cannon blasts away, this time targeting her head! The bracelets do their job as it deflects the beam. Wonder Woman cannot believe the incredible force of the laser. The third blast was even more powerful than the first two! She had to use all of her might to withstand the latest assault. She shutters as she wonders if the cannon has not yet reached its full power and the following blasts will be even deadlier than the previous ones!
The cannon is relentless and charges up again. This time it unleashes a blast which is much more intense than the first three! Wonder Woman uses her bracelet to deflect the beam. The laser is much more quick and powerful than she can withstand. The deadly blast strikes her squarely in the head! Wonder Woman stumbles to the ground. Her hand reaches for her head to try to ease the pain. She struggles to stay awake but a direct shot to the head from the full force of the laser cannon is just too much for anyone to handle. She falls to the ground...unconscious.
